If there is a good chance of this resulting in a misdemeanor finding or less, should that cost ANY player with no prior legal/school wrong doings his Sr year or most of it?
So you want lsu to take that chance?
Rather than see a guy miss a season for a misdemeanor charge stemming from bar room fight in which all parties walk away and he has no history of problems at LSU or with the legal system???
You bet and that goes for ANY player.

For the record, for the entirety of my adult life, I have considered the BRPD largely incompetent.
Having to deal with them will reinforce this.

If this was a misdemeanor, he'd have a flat 2-3 game suspension. Guess what? It's not, it's a felony charge. For that, he will serve at least 3-4 games.
All his lawyer is doing is trying to see if he is going to half to plea down to a misdemeanor (short suspension of 3-4 games) or if he will fight it (reinstated now).

Antonio Moss, are you still on this kick claiming legitimate witnesses were ignored simply out of incompetence? Really?
Is that really so shocking?
Have you ever dealt with the police, much less the BRPD?
quote:
When BRPD is doing all this other crap to show that they are doing a thorough investigation, yet chose to ignore credible witnesses and video tape.
And, let me add, the "other crap" (I'm assuming you mean the DNA testing) has very, very limited value in Court. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if it was tossed out.

I can bet you $50 bucks what the video Fisher tried to give them was. The footage from inside the bar from earlier in the night that the police already had.
I totally agree, except the police didn't have it. They had the exterior video from the laundry place.

I have more belief in the fact that the two Shady's employees are full of shite.
Based on nothing of course. Why would you have any faith in Lowery's account given his verified history?
quote:
While I would not be surprised that the initial officer at the scene didn't ask them questions (seeing as he likely figured nothing would come from it), to claim the entire group working on this case chose to just ignore them for a week is not believable whatsoever.
Again, you give police officers way too much credit.
quote:
If the police refused to interview them, why didn't they come out earlier claiming that?
They were interviewed by Fisher on Monday. They were asked not to speak to the media until interviewed by the police. The police never interviewed them.
quote:
Why did they go to the papers? Why not put your statement in a form that you can be legally held accountable?
They offered to be interviewed. What else would you have them do?
quote:
Why they didn't because it's defense lawyering 101. If you have "witnesses" willing to work with you, then have them make it impossible for the cops to get their statements, then turn around, publicly release their version to the media and claim "They didn't let me tell my side" and you have just significantly shattered the legitimacy of their case.
I'm just going to ignore this because you haven't the faintest clue what you're talking about.
quote:
Trying to act like this is not likely, much less not feasible, by a scumbag attorney is where you lose credibility. Shady's as a business has multiple reason to not help in this case.
I'm just going to ignore this because you haven't the faintest clue what you're talking about.
The lengths that you have to go to to relieve the BRPD here are absolutely astounding. You have to construct assumption after assumption after assumption to justify this act. That should tell you something.

The only video evidence they have is supposedly of JJ walking by and not knowing Lowery. That has no bearing at all on anything.
If that were true, it places Lowery in the bar which he claimed he never went. It's a pretty significant knock on his credibility.
When did Lowery make this statement that he never went into the bar that night?

His attorney made that statement.
And, I'm trying to recall the exact wording in the initial report, but he states that he came upon an attack on the truck driver in the parking lot and decided to intervene.

quote:yes and i agree with this however why does JJ and Johns get an indefinite suspension, but by CLM's own words many many more football plaers broke curfew and are not punished? Also i think you missed the point on harassing. Its not like he stalked her to the bar to mess with her he just was being really rude and nasty to her while at the bar. Also i think you hold the chastity of tigerland whores in too high esteem
He's guilty of breaking curfew to go out to a bar and lying about it or part of the events. That's all CLM needs to take action.

Right. It said something like "saw people getting pulled from truck and intervened."
If the video shows him getting tossed from the bar for fighting, that chips away at his credibility.
When you add that to the testimonial of the bouncer who says the fight had already started before the truck pulled up to the edge of the melee, then his credibility is damaged even more.

My point exactly.
He never made that statement as far as we know to the police.
His attorney could of said he was there trying to convert people to read the good book. Makes no difference when it comes to his crediblity. So hence the bar video some are claiming that Shadys' had doesn't mean anything if their point was to disprove Lowery statement that his LAWYER made.
Look this is a lose...lose on both sides. I think the guy is a POS (Lowery that is) but the fact is...the public proll knows about 20% of what the investigation details. So why not let it all play out.
