I don't want JJ in at all actually. It's 3:00 a.m. At work. I wanted to get a rise, not boomed brah.... You should be more considerate.
JJ is that ex girlfriend that just wouldn't let go.

Just posturing from the attorney. He knows there's no way Les is going to lift it, so he's making it public to try and sway emotion one way or the other.
Yep... But it is the attorney at this point and not JJ. Waste of time IMO.

No worries RB, I hear ya. I am just waiting for Choctaw and Uncommonsense to come on here spouting off how everyone is a JJ hater.
Here's to the team taking out their frustration on the Ducks on Saturday.

Agree. Each situation has to be handled on its own merits -- innocent until proven guilty, true, but, it appears there is some solid evidence ag. JJ, plus, his mere involvement in the incident (together w/, truth be told, EVERYONE who broke curfew), is probably enough to warrant suspension.

Seems JJ's attorney is planning to approach Les about lifting JJ's suspension while he fights this charge.
I know this was up earlier and axed, but it now has a link from ESPN below.
I'm sure he's not planning to sue the university for reinstatment, so how is it that big a distraction? JJ's teammates know him and likely see him everyday, so this is still a current "issue" for the team. His lawyer asking (key word) Les to reinstate isn't going to drag some long-forgotten ghost back into the limelight.
Now if he is reinstated and his problems are clearly affecting him and those around him, he simply shouldn't be allowed to play.
Either way, we may be in for some surprises. Maybe the DA will drop the charges or offer a plea deal that JJ and Unglesby find palatable within the next couple of weeks. If that happens, CLMs will likely reinstate immediately.

I disagree. Miles should look at the circumstances as they are and suspend JJ for a reasonable amount of games as if he were guilty. Keeping him out of the whole season is ridiculous. I don't know the circumstances of the reported crime but unless JJ intended to kill the guy, a whole season is just way too long.
I don't think you understand the severity of the situation.

Miles needs to tell Unglesby to hurry up and get JJ's shite taken care of and he will consider reinstating JJ.

8.2. Non-Academic Misconduct
A. On or off-campus behavior - To protect the University's educational purposes and
the University community, a Student may be formally charged with a violation of
this Code and be subject to the sanctions herein for acts or omissions that occur
on or off-campus when, as a result of conduct, the Student is:
1. Convicted of a felony in a state or federal court;
2. Formally charged by civil authorities with the commission
of a crime of such nature that the student's continued presence at the
University potentially threatens the property, health, safety, or well being of
members of the University community;
granted he has not been convicted yet, but what if miles lets him come back and then he is convicted of a FELONY.
what if JLEE plays lights out and miles lets JJ come back. Does he get to start, ride the bench, or will it tear this team apart.

1. The chances of this happening are approaching zero. This is the first time he's been accused of anything. He will not be convicted of a felony.
2. In my opinion, simply doesn't apply to this case.
As for the rest, I don't know how it will affect the team if he comes back. That uncertainty isn't enough to justify applying a $50.00 punishment to a $10.00 crime. Kicking someone's arse doesn't merit a year-long suspension--especially someone's final year.

The lawyer needs to stick to the criminal process, he has no business discussing JJ's suspension w/ Miles .. two separate things, two separate processes. Miles should tell him politely, "thanks, but no thanks, for the unsolicited advice ... I think I can run my program just fine w/o your help."

If i was JJ i would be worried about the rest of my life, not the next 5 months. I believe we all understand the severity of this accusation.

tear this team apart
The Team has better things to do and doesn't constantly have their eyes glued to the monitor hanging on every link and tweet the media produces like Rantards.
The real distraction is to the fans, imo.

It's in your own post, dude.

And Miles would be justified in doing so. That doesn't mean that JJ's advocate shouldn't try every avenue available to help his cliant and his case.

2nd degree battery
this is what he and johns are charged with. Funny how no one is talking about johns getting back on the team all they can talk about is JJ.
I for one don't really care who the starter is. Am I glad that LEE gets another chance hell yeah, but I would not wish this on JJ.
I really hope all this gets settled and the case is dropped, but until then miles needs to keep him and johns suspended indefintly. Its what is best for the program not the individual.

This. Typical Unglesby move-hoping to get this tried in the court of public opinion. If Les were to let his favorite son off the hook ala the Urban Myer approach, then I will become his biggest detractor.
I have no idea how JL will perform, but it surely is a pleasure listening to his interviews. He has been crapped on by many fans and his coaching staff, yet continued to come to practice every day and work hard. He was talking about things he saw from Oregon's defense on film-at least he's watching film.
