But why would we give him the benefit of the doubt if it means there's a slim chance that he could end up back under center in 2001, right?

Meh.

That whole Davey/Booty debate is so ten years ago.

Well played, sir...

Nobody else posts it.

I have been thanked repeatedly for my contributions.

What do you contribute, exactly?

I think it's a good sign that this is the only thread about this whole bullshite matter on the first page. Means that folks are concentrating on football.

English please. If you are doubting the accuracy of my accusation I am sure Will Cover can come in here and confirm it. Maybe even Chicken can pull up the notes regarding your ban for that situation.

The same as everybody else on this board: my opinion.

No matter what these yahoo's post, at the end of the day: LSU will do what's best for LSU.

LSU does not care if fans hate JJ, Coach Miles, any player, coach, fan, faculty or janitor.

Just sad to know some will sacrifice their first born to make sure their invalid and often borderline insane pleas are made to other fans on a message board who have no say so whatsoever in the decisions of LSU Athletics.

You're not making an argument. You're being an a-hole. He made a typographical mistake, and that's the only thing to which you responded.

If this were a real argument. You just lost because you did not refute even one of his arguments.

You merely pointed out a typo.

the bus, with Jefferson being the prime target. And what seemed to be the biggest similarity all of these folks had in common? A previous dislike for the guy as both a player and a person...and a general feeling that Lee would be better for the team. This fueled the rumor mill, the speculation, and the venom that was posted and spewed pretty much everywhere for an entire week.

And those of us who semi-defended Jefferson from these attacks? We were labeled Team Sweep, as if anyone was seriously suggesting that had something terrible happened it should be swept under the rug.

My perception is the exact opposite of yours. I truly believe many here wanted a sweep no matter the truth. I also feel that many here chose to defend JJ based upon either nothing, or a scenario created in their own head. The only facts, whether real or fabricated, were coming from the vitim's side. Of course, these facts were immedietly met with BS calls when nothing was coming from the player's side at all.

In the end, what happened? Two guys were charged with felonies just as was predicted on day 2 or 3 of this whole deal.

My guess would be 7th grader reading and comprehending at a 3rd grade level.

But seriously...what would be the counter argument..."Nuh uh!"

To suggest that LSU Football and the potential success of the offense in particular was not a MAJOR driving force in why LSU fans seemingly pushed each other out of the way in a race to see who could be the first to cast JJ under the bus is simply astounded to watch.

A large portion of LSU fans were HAPPY to hear JJ was involved in something because for them, it was the surest way to have him removed from under center, thereby improving their football watching enjoyment. Couple that truism with the attempt to label all those standing up for JJ as only looking out for the best interest of LSU Football and you've got yourself some pharmaceutical grade hypocrisy...
