With all the great plays from yesterday I think this is the one that hasn't been talked about as much but IMO was the play of the game.

LSU is driving up 33-27 around the bama 35. Bama had scored 14 points unanswered and you could definitely tell their offense was heating up. LSU NEEDED points this drive.

3rd and 10 Bama brings the blitz and burrow stands in there just long enough to get the pass off to CEH in the flat, who makes a shoe string catch still way short of the 1st down. CEH jukes the defender and drags him another 4-5 yards for the first. Right in front of the bama sideline. LSU goes down to score and the rest as they say is history.

that play epitomized our two best players from yesterday in the perfect way. Showcasing burrows toughness and CEHs shifty bruising running style.

Loved it all...

I thought a massive play that would go unheralded was on the initial drive of the game.
Bama went like 70 yards on 3 plays. Talk about a gut drop! WTF? On 2nd down Rashard bats down a Tua pass behind scrimmage. That stopped momentum and was our first positive play. Next play Tua fumble.
I just felt that was huge right then

The last first down run was just as important. If we dont get that first down we punt with a lot of time left for Bama.

The play you’re talking about is not being underrated at all.. Everyone is talking about it, and (probably) most of those are calling it the biggest play of the game because of when it happened in the game, and what it lead to..

When Joe took the first drive down for a score, that set the tone for the game. They could not handle when we played tempo. When we tried to slow the game in the third quarter and burn clock, they fricked us up. Three punts in a row. When we started playing tempo again, we moved the ball. Joe ran for almost a hundred yards but when sacks were taken off I think it was something like 62 or 66 but if you don’t count the sacks, it was almost a hundred. That is huge. Huge! When a quarterback runs for that much on a saban team playing tempo, saban loses many of the times. That was a big part of the win.

I think the most underrated play was the sky high catch that jefferson made on the onsides kick. That could have been a disaster!

I mean, that was an important play, but it wasn't a difficult play for Jefferson. The ball was kicked right to him, and it wasn't a hard catch.

Rohan Davey said on AFR that LSU needed something good to happen early to set the tone for the game.

The batted pass followed by the Tua fumble was just that.

Completely different game if they score there, imo.

I think that’s a good take. Slowing it down frustrated me as well. After further review of the third quarter, I don’t think people realize that this game could have easily been an LSU/Vanderbilt score in our favor. Every drive ended in plus 50, or close to midfield. We were 10ths of a second from being very successful that quarter. Burrow was rushed on a couple of throws that he normally makes blindfolded! There was a horrible no call of pass interference in the quarter as well. We were really close to ending football in Bama. They would’ve had their points. It is a game of inches.

Burrow tackles defender who intercepted/caught fumble mid air. Only guy anywhere near him. Saved a touchdown.

To me LSU taking their opening drive after the Tua fumble and scoring a touchdown set the tone for the whole game.

It broke through a mental barrier more than anything in my opinion. It showed to the team they aren’t special but we are so let’s go.

It was a great team win. On to Ole Miss. Geaux tigers
