LSU advances!

Other than playing in Greensboro (awful draw) I love playing UNC right now...Lawson is injured but of course will play, but he is clearly not 100%.

Garrett will guard Ellington and this will be a great matchup.

Danny green is in a shooting slump and Marcus will guard him.

Deon Thompson and Ed Davis will be tough match ups for us with their length and size, but Thornton, CJ and Storm will have to step it up.

Hansbrough will get his and foul trouble will be the main concern for me.

However, we have no shot at beating Uconn or Pitt with their size and I give us a great punchers shot at Carolina because of their totel lack of defense.

Butler will be a LSU 10 point win as LSU has some grown men playing against 18-19 year old kids. I love these two matchups for LSU (for an 8 seed of course)...we are rested, healthy and if we can get CJ to do ANYTHING? LSU to Memphis is a real possibility.

And most of all, don't ever underestimate the awful coaching job Roy Williams can put on you.

LSU 68 Butler 59

LSU 76 UNC 73

Gotta love March Madness!

UNC is just a much deeper team than we are. But you're right, if we had to play a one seed, UNC is probably the best matchup.

RW's one Achilles Heel is teams with a strong, physical inside game, something LSU does NOT have.

Cenla-

Have you watched Carolina play this year? I am not saying they are bad, but they are very beatable....Greeensboro is a bitch!

Look, all I am saying is that they do not have an overpowering inside game like Pitt or UConn or even Lousiville.

If I have to play a #1 seed, give me Carolina and Roy W any day of the week. Thye are BY FAR the worst defensive #1 seed out there.

Again, I think LSU has proved (when they show up) that we can defend, we have a go to scorer (2 really) and our only glaring weakness is depth and big men.

There is not one player on UNC that can guard MT. Of course, he will have to score 25-30 for us to win/stay in the game, but i have faith in the SEC POY.

Let TYler H get his, just stay out of foul trouble and I promise you, UNC will allow us to stay around in the this game.

Obviously, if LSU shoots poorly and gets in foul trouble, we can lost to Binghamton....

But I have seen too many years of tourney action where Seniors lead teams in the S16.

Wasn't dogging you either...I guess I thought that of all the 1 seeds we could draw, UNC would be the team I would want. AND, for kicks, let us get to Memphis for a S16 matchu p and I 55 will be packed for a 5 hour drive to Beale Street.

Ou, Syracuse, Gonzaga ...none of these teams scare me!

Rolling Stoned up i 55!!

Who guards MT? Danny Green? Bobby Frasor (awful)?

Ty Lawson?

Please, let me know who on this team can guard him?

I just watched Tony Douglas light up the Heels for 27...did you miss that game yesterday?

Can't wait to hear this answer!!

Great attitude - I agree with MSU. Having to play UNC provided we get past Butler sooner, rather than later, is just as well to me. You have to beat everyone anyway to get to the dance.

If i were a betting man, I would say Danny Green. LSU's big hurdle will be rebounding. There won't be many rebounds to be had with Hansbrough, Davis, and Thompson. Plus Zellar's height will be a problem for LSU. In order for LSU to remain close or win, Thorton and someone else will have to shoot lights out. If Lawson is anywhere near 80 percent, LSU's chances drift away that much more.
