I love that hike up to Mt. Roberts.
I am in Juneau. Live here. Hiking up Granite Creek basin later today....

Pollsters don't watch all of the games.

No, it won't. LSU needs a win in the worst way, I'll take it anyway I can get it.
So it makes zero difference to you whether LSU beats a diminished UNC team or beats a full UNC defense touted as one of the best in the nation?
My goodness...

Preferable would be going 12-0 against your SEC schedule (including Auburn, Alabama, UT, Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Miss State) and beating Texas, USC, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Miami.
But for now I will take a win.
And answer the Juneau question.
Oops already did.

LSU needs some respect, its been lost over the last few years. Quality wins do matter, a toothless UNC isn't a quality win
At this point LSU needs a Win. It does not matter who UNC puts on the field.
The players and team on the other side of the line are not in LSU's control. Beat the team you line up against and you had a good day.

If they cheated they shouldn't play

Sold the house, business and moved here in the early 90's sight unseen. Best move I have ever made. Its awesome....natural beauty here is something you never tire of.

That would be about par for the course for Miles lately. Gets the win that lots of people think he can't, only to be told he got the win because the other team wasn't a full strength.
Meanwhile if Kelvin Sheppard and Patrick Peterson were to miss the game, and LSU loses, those same fans would scream that there are no excuses in football, and you play with what you got, or something like that.
to OldManRiver.
amen brother

pollsters look at the schedules and the rankings. Alot of them don't even know the starting rosters for the teams.....especially the coaches poll. You're giving waaayyyyy to much credit to these guys.
this is why we need a playoff system.

Exactly what would happen. LSU needs...and yes I said need....they need to beat UNC at full strength. LSU needs some national respect back.

I dream of living in Juneau or Sitka. Skagway is a little small. Ketchikan a little touristy.
Obviously I have been on inside passage cruises.
But I do dream of it from time to time.

SPent the whole summer in the Skagway/Dyea area last summer looking for gold. Found a bit, was a fantastic summer. Going to Aniakchak this August for my annual trip. Going to Sitka two weeks from now. Gorgeous town.

Great, now if LSU wins the Rantards already have their built in excuse.

There might be something to the rumor . . .

Inside Carolina has learned that the NCAA investigation surrounding the UNC football program centers on possible improper benefits provided to the NFL Draft prospects that elected to come back for the 2010 season. The NCAA inquired about benefits coming from non-University influences that included rent, jewelry and travel.
The investigation includes seniors Marvin Austin, a defensive tackle, and Greg Little, a wide receiver, but is not limited to them. The NFL Draft prospects in question weren’t the only ones interviewed by the NCAA representatives.

Its preferable to all involved that LSU faces a full squad UNC team. A win isn't just a win.

Have the official preseason polls come out yet, i.e., AP and Coaches? If not, this should certainly have preseason implications if these players were to be suspended.

With LSU's schedule this year, I am not in the least bit worried about our schedule being watered down a bit. Let them play with the second string.
