“Casey at the Bat” went over like a fart in a diver’s helmet. Was trying to say in my saddest moment that it doesn’t always go the way you expect things to.
LSU gets in your blood and touches your soul. In those moments of cheering and disappointment, we are of like mind with one heartbeat. There is a kind of magic and childhood excitement when it all comes together. Geaux Tigers! I love this team.

They did us proud. Not enough sticks this year.
They came back, after a not good season.
That's what Fighting Tigers do.

Tommy White just disappeared after his grand slam against Kentucky.
Everyone was talking about well his at bats were hit hard. That's cool and all but you expect a third baseman to be able to pick a ball right at him in college. Perhaps if Tommy saw a few more pitches he'd actually connect with a flyball that's 105 or more off the bat. He seemed to be pressing and was late on pitches that he could launch for the last two weeks. LSU definitely needed some production out of him this weekend. Today when he got on base, he came in to score. He just never got on base this weekend.

Ah well, I treated every game from the Regional through Omaha last season like an LSU football game as far as eats/drinks/home tailgating. I had to take a week off and recover after the CWS. Looking on the bright side, I guess it will be better on my stomach that the season is over now.

shouldve left ack in but easy to say now
Here’s my argument for keeping Ack in. Not only was he dealing tonight, he’s gotten it done in some huge moments before. The guy has proven to be clutch.
Although I understand putting in your ace with the season on the line, and will not hold it against Jay for making that decision, Gage just doesn’t have the postseason experience that Ack has.

Neal and Kling need to be locked in cages and fed a steady diet of bananas and oatmeal until next season.
Yes, I have lost my mind. Relieved it’s over.

Man it sucks that I have to sit through another season of LSU Basketball before we get to baseball. Fk!

This one is hard to accept. Like a gut punch.

Now that is actually more depressing than losing tonight. Thanks for that.

Was wondering how long it would take for baseball fans to start crapping on other LSU sports. Didn’t take long

I think tGeneral wins a tourney game this year.
I honestly just feel for Jay, Brown, Jump, Ack, Pearson… some understandable decisions just didn’t pay off.
Only one I think was objectively bad was having Josh playing so deep… have to keep the guy on third.

It was a fun ride at the end. That presser was rough to watch. While Jay probably didn't think the team would struggle the amount they did in the beginning this was an incredible turnaround. Between him, Yeskie and Wanaka they definitely did a good job getting the players back on track.

He did not the call balls and strikes the same for each side. Unbelievably bad luck to have him behind plate.

It's all going to be different this year lol

This is such a joke of a take. Multiple dumb plays to end the season, especially the fly ball. This is not a season to be proud of or to build on. We lose Tanks, bear, our top 2 pitchers, and more.

I wasn’t a fan bc our offense disappeared since the 3rd inning and we just burned a valuable bullpen arm so the longer this thing went on, the lower our chances of winning would have been. We were basically down to Ulloa and Loer. Not exactly comforting.
Had our offense showed any ability to score since the 3rd maybe that changes things, but we weren’t hitting their guy and they still had bullets left after him. I was thinking the long game at that moment, not so much that Jump would come in and give up runs.
