he was their long time equipment guy, called him mr wildcat
he passed away, and earlier this year they wore the black and each name on the back was his last name, keightly
they also wore strips on their right shoulders all year that said mr wildcat

Black is fine if it's one of your school colors. UGA wearing black is just fine, but black is not a UK color. Black is not a UF color. Why the heck would they show up wearing a UGA/USC/Vandy color? Kentucky in those uni's appears satisfied to toss tradition out the window. Ofcourse the way they finished out, maybe they have. Reminds me of Notre Dame getting pumped up when their team shows up in Tulane green. Just dumb.

It was done to remember Bill Keightley who passed last season. He saw more live games than anyone EVER at UK, and was on the bench thru the Rupp years.

I understand to do black for that one game to honor him, thats cool. But thats not why they wore them today. They wore them today b/c "Meeks" wanted to and Billy needed to pull everything out of his hat to win this game and save his job
