It will not matter. Maybe it will take a quarter or two but our D will feast and I do t think they have the horses to match up with our offense. Anyone afraid of Chip Kelly at UCLA is drunk on nostalgia. He couldn’t beat us with Oregon. He is not beating us with a low talent Bruin squad. Yeah I know, respect your opponent and all that but this tiger team is not coming off a natty. They are coming off a humiliating season and if they have an ounce of pride they throttle this UCLA team.

Not sure why so many people are bringing up Virginia Tech from nearly 20 years ago. BYU played a game before us in 2017, and we shut them out.

Gonna have to pull a Lumburgh and disagree with you on this one.
We should beat them but it won't be a cake walk. They have gotten better. Lost to Oregon, USC , Stanford, and Colorado by an average of 3.5pts last year and we weren't setting the world on fire.

UCLA has a nice scheme and a good QB but LSU will be much larger on both lines and have bigger and better athletes at RB, WR, DB, & LB. If LSU plays a clean game in terms of turnovers and penalties and plays hard they should eventually physically dominate UCLA. I expect UCLA to put up a fight and make some plays but see LSU winning a 41 to 27 type game.

Virginia Tech played a game before LSU in 2002 and beat the shite out of LSU
BYU played a game before LSU in 2017 and looked horrible against LSU.

Could be that we got beat 26-8 and that fight in that Blacksburg bar (top of the stairs I believe) was a good one.
We just remember.

Virginia Tech had a lot of talent back in those days. They played for the national championship in 1999. Talent wise UCLA is nowhere close to 2002 Va Tech.
