UCLA trying to subside the inevitable Tiger Takeover!

Sounds like their student section sucks if they have to fill it with free tickets to high school students. Remember college kids, 17 will get you 20.

School doesn't start until September 23rd at UCLA, so these early season games always have low student attendance. They've been using promotions like this to fill in the gaps for years, and they've been more necessary recently as attendance has dipped in the last 5 years.

In the 2019 season (before Covid) UCLA averaged 43,848 fans. And that was with Oklahoma on the schedule.
That is pitiful. They need to offer free tickets to the homeless also

This is standard practice at UCLA. Pre-covid they were filling up the stadium half way, and that was tickets sold.

I was at that game, I don't think the program ever felt quite as dead as it did that day. You have to remember, UCLA is in the midst of easily its worst five year stretch of football in about a century, at a time when the rest of Los Angeles sports are in a golden age. Frankly, I don't blame our more casual fans for wanting to do something more fun with their time, it's only the sickos like me who keep showing up.
