Except for a select few big games, I don’t see the draw in attending any major sporting event that’s on TV. At home, you have HDTV, A/C, fridge full of food and drinks, your own bathroom, no traffic, no parking, etc. When every game is televised, attending in person is rarely the better option.

Most that tailgated with us stayed in BRLA and were looking to party on 3rd street after. They had been told to go to Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s and the casinos. Lol

Down by three scores in the second half. In heat and humidity most of them had never experienced. Plenty of them were older and not in the best of health too.

You pay your ticket, you can leave when you want or not show up at all. But don't give me any bullshite about having a great fan base because we're not.

This isn’t some great gotcha. Their fans paid thousands of dollars to travel here specifically because of the Tiger Stadium tales they’ve heard. Even though they didn’t get 1/10th of the experience they probably expected they had nowhere else to be. Sitting and staying in their seats is the entire reason they made the trip here.

I’d compare it to when I traveled to UTk 10 years or so ago at Neyland and it was the most miserable weather I ever experienced at a game before and even though lsu dominated and their stadium was empty, we and the rest of the lsu fans stuck it out the whole game because that was the whole reason we traveled there.

Did they. I saw their section when we took the lead on tv and it was empty except those that had gotten some relief in the shade

The majority that I spoke with drove in on busses from Nola that was leaving an hour after the game ended. I guess they could have went and stood in the parking lot waiting for their bus…

We’re gonna need to know what you hypothetically might’ve allegedly done to get kicked out before we can rank your fandom…

It kind of is a gotcha. Don't act like they didn't have options. They weren't chain to their seats. For people asking "where would they go" the easy answer is the same place they would go after the game.

The buses never leave the parking lot and are air conditioned.

I’ve seen UCLA play about 20-25 times since the early 80s. Every interaction with their fans has been positive. They, along with Cal fans, are well-mannered. Another thing, UCLA football doesn’t attract the rowdy, lowlife fans like those from many other schools. Think USC, Miami etc.

UCLA fans may have come across country to watch a game. They didn’t drive merely an hour or so.

Just a little thought.
