Talked to my buddy with the press, said they are shooting for a restart around 9:30 if the current weather pattern holds. May be another late night.

Yea, on the radar it doesn’t look like the rain will be out until 9:30 and then the teams have to warm back up. I’m not sure what they are seeing, but may be LSU with another late night win!

What time did Dallas Baptist and Rhode Island start their game at the Box? 11:15 PM?

Yeah. I was lucky that my dad played for LSU so I grew up going to a lot of games and visiting a lot of stadiums. Got into baseball through my aunt and uncle who used to watch every game chain smoking cigarettes on the sofa. Only a few LSU related things left on the bucket list and I’m still pissed we didn’t go in 2023.

If this game gets postponed and not started tonight, believe it means the entire schedule gets bumped up. They still play 2 games each day. It’s not like regionals when they try to compress the schedule and squeeze a half game in with the existing schedule. I believe our side of the bracket would become the early PM games, and the other side of the bracket would have its elimination game in the late PM. In effect, the loser of this game on our side of the bracket would have its elimination game in the early PM slot Wednesday.

That seems about right to me. Looking at radar, I’d say 10:00-10:30 restart.

In regional play, they’re trying to squeeze 7 games in over 4 days. The CWS is essentially 2 regionals at once. They’re not compressing schedule anymore with the extended format.

TV just showed active lightning - but with ESPN it could have been from a while ago. Still steady light rain also.

Seems like a 10 or later resumption.

ETA - Lightning strike at 8:41 that looked within the close proximity radius.
