UCI fans were PISSED at Gillespie after the game...

I heard more than one group of Eater fans saying "you can't try that crap at this level of baseball"....I just smiled and kept walking. It was a TERRIBLE call when our pitcher was struggling, to be nice.

They SHOULD be pissed. You only try that trickery BS when you don't have the talent to beat your opponent straight up. He does and possibly would have.

Agreed. They definitely let LSU off the hook with that move because the pitcher was struggling.

What was UCI tying to do? The radio announcer was totally fooled by the play and had no idea what happened.

Runner at first fell down as the runner on third broke for home. Trying to distract the pitcher forcing him to throw tonforst making it more difficult to get the runner at the plate.....I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

UCI fans bitching at Gillespie don't get it. He's the best thing that ever happened to their program.

We had them beat...then they had us beat...imagine how sick they must feel knowing they were an out away and no one on base from beating us. Great game...lucky for us, they played 7 outfielders when Dean came up. Gillespie is an overrated coach.
