Anyone Uber from the stadium after the games?

Couple we are going with want to Uber in and out instead of drive.

How does that work with contraflow and the traffic?

She swears they caught one after the Auburn game last year and it wasn't bad.

Said they booked it a little in advance and contacted their driver and he was there when they got out.

Just doesn't seem like the norm with the way the traffic is.

Bikes from Past Time grill and ride the levee or take bus from Past Time for $10 each.

Took a Lyft to the game from downtown and then back after the game last week.

Taking us there they pretty much just dropped us off on the edge of campus by the new beach volleyball courts.

After was hell and they’ll only pick you from pre determined spots around campus. So instead we walked north until we were right off campus to get a pick up.

Took awhile to find one.

When I did this, we walked with traffic south southeast and got an uber like 1 or 2 miles away from campus. Getting one right by campus will be nearly impossible or 10x fee id assume. Ours was like 3.5 times i think. Not bad i guess.

Do Lyft and type in geauxtigers under promos to get $5 off for 4 rides.

We took it after the Tech game. Walked down Skip Bertman and got picked up in 5 minutes. No surge pricing and it cost $7 to get to Spanish Town.

They give you the pricing before confirm the request. People need to pay attention. Of course it will be peak peak peak pricing. Don't do it. Walk or make a better plan. Leave a car somewhere. Bike. Make friends nearby, in a parking lot.

Thanks! We are staying at the Crowne Plaza for the Rice game and had thought about Lyft to and from the hotel. One person said to take a bike taxi to Pasttime and then try Lyft to the hotel. Need all the advice I can get because WE STAY UNTIL THE GAME IS OVER!!!!

Was it a terribly long wait?

Pretty hard. Might as well walk somewhere for food or drinks after and wait for traffic to die down imo.

It's a nightmare due to contraflow. Ubers are able to take their first passangers off campus, but once they are off campus the drivers can't get back on to grab the next group until the contraflow ends.

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm fine driving to the game and driving back to the hotel, they are insisting the uber cause they dont want to stay sober and drive.

Think I'll drive my wife and I and they can uber if they want.

Next question we are staying at la Quinta on south a acadian. Normally park in front of walk ons.

Where should I try parking for contraflow to take me that direction

Anybody know where to park to get back to downtown after the game? (trying to avoid the contraflow mess) Or better off getting a ride service?
