TM better than Woodsen's season, but he won't win. Hoefully he get's the invite...he damn sure deserves it.

Defensive guys don't win the Heisman anymore (see Patrick Peterson).

Part of me disagrees, but only b/c he fell off in the middle of the year. If he had played better against Bama, he'd be the guy no doubt.

well you're an idiot, mo might be the better pro but TM7 has outplayed him all year and made more big plays...it is not even close

Wow. You've gone full tard. Claiborne is the lockdown defender that allows TM to do what he does. I guess you missed the INT/TD tonight...again?

Simon has come in for TM on multiple occasions and we haven't missed a beat. In fact, Simon has shined very brightly from the turnover perspective when subbing for TM. That tells me something...it tells me TM is great but is benefitting greatly from the great players around him. Is that a knock? No. I'm just saying a Heisman player shouldnt be so replaceable on his own team.

Where's that Mathieu pic with him not going across the goalline and saying he does what he wants or whatever?

Saw it, can't find it now lol.

Disagree. Heisman should be for Most Valuable.

That would go to Luck or RG3. Without Tyrann, LSU is still No. 1.

Without Luck, Stanford is .500. Without RG3, Baylor is .500, maybe.

I'm not saying claiborne was better this year, BUT you can't compare numbers of a guy who's job is to make plays and routinely blitzes off the corner and a guy who's job is to just cover his WR.

Claiborne can finish a game with 2 tackles and nothing else and have played fantastic.

Can you post it?

I'm interested to see the numbers side by side.

claiborne is great but no one can objectively make a case that claiborne has had a better season. I didn't miss the TD, I'm not going to blast him for getting torched on the first drive either

TM7 is the better player...doesn't matter how they translate into the pros. And TM7 contributes big on special teams...3 special teams Touchdowns this year, more forced fumbles, 2 picks 40+ takcles, 1.5 sacks...i defy you to put claiborne's numbers up agains HB7's. But you think Kobe > Lebron so what the frick do you know

Yeah you are missing the point...doesn't surprise me really. The point is: TM has been shown to be replaceable at times this season ON HIS OWN TEAM. He's been outplayed multiple times this season by players in the secondary ON HIS OWN TEAM. How you think that means he is the CLEAR CUT #1 Heisman candidate is beyond me.

RGIII

I'd put him above Luck but behind RGIII and Richardson.

I'm acting like what?

Are you joking?

You can't be serious and have that opinion after ONE post I made where I specifically said I was NOT saying Claiborne was better.

there is no way you can dismiss or ignore what he has done...it is hesiman worthy and definitely worthy of an invite.

I have no idea what you're talking about right now.

What helps Mathieu is when we need a play he makes it look at this week and last week. He has 6 force fumbles, 2 ints, idk how many tds exactly. He forces big plays and finds the ball. He also leads the number 1 d in tackles. Claiborne is a beast and has 6 interceptions. He's a better NFL prospect, but he doesn't make quite as many plays. That's not a knock on him it just shows how much of a beast TM7 is. I agree Claiborne's lockdown coverage, besides him falling down every now and then, allows Mathieu to blitz more and make some plays. With that said Trent Richardson's O-line Gives him the opportunity to mske something happen at the 2nd level. It's part of it. Mathieu won't win it, but he has as good of a resume as any defensive player ever will.
