2 years is enough for me IF we can replace him with someone better. I admit I do not know who that someone is. What I do know is I've had enough of this bastard.

I’m ready for a change

LSU needs a paid hitting coach just like every other team left in the Supers

You can see the games much better at home anyway.

Not making it to Omaha two years in a row is a bummer. Inexcusable IMO. If they keep Mainieri another year, it's definitely Omaha or bust. We can't keep doing this year in and year out. That should be unacceptable at LSU.

we were one of 16 teams left playing. There are more than 32 teams in the NCAA.

If Mainieri doesn't make it to Omaha next year, he is mother fricking fired. Done. It's as simple as that. I have absolutely no faith in him next year though. Prepare for another year of no CWS. LSU baseball is done.

Did I hear that college teams cannot pay a third assistant coach? I assume Dunn and Cain would be the only paid assistants.

Facts......Bertman built something unattainable....we hired a dud afterwards who every LSU fan will admit to. The dud lasted 4 years and has as many CWS visits as the current coach of 10 years. Yet he's a fricking savior.......let that sink in

Smoke reached the World Series at a higher rate than Mainieri.

For 5 years. Or less if the fans want to pay a substantial amount to no longer have to put it with it.

Serious question. What are the fans going to do? All they can do is stop showing up to the games. But even so, Mainieri is going to be paid his salary for the next 5 years. That will be the case if he his fired today OR not a single fan shows up to the Box for the next 5 seasons.

He has one of the largest yearly salaries in a low revenue sport. Be as frustrated as you want, but it doesn't make much financial sense to eat a $6 million dollar buyout right now for a program that even in it's best years only makes about $500k in profit.

quote:

LSU baseball, one of the few baseball programs nationally to turn an annual profit, made a profit of $345,536 in 2018. That’s about $200,000 less than it had in 2017.

I'm not quite sure you understand the meaning of the word "fact".

The current coach has 5 CWS appearances (at LSU)...more than double the "dud" hired after Bertman. If you're going to make an argument. Fine. But at least do so with accurate information
