Actually a "RB screen pass" is probably not the call you want against a blitz...depending on the type of blitz. So far this year we have seen a lot of "A" gap type blitzes from the teams we have played...what some people call a "run blitz". The most effective play against that is either a quick throw to the tight end over the middle or a quick release to a back who also is attacking the middle of the field. This is the area that is most open against the types of blitzes teams have used against us to this point.
I'm not against screen passes to the backs...but they aren't the panacea that some people think they are. Have you noticed what happens when people try running back screens against OUR defense? We usually swallow those up. RB screens tend to work better against zone blitzes and against zone coverages since the back can catch the ball unencumbered and the blockers have a chance to get out and block a defense that has dropped into coverage.
One other tip for you. Before you go telling CLM how to coach...you oughtta at least be smarter than me...im a nobody and I'm smarter than you! Just saying.

Well he couldn't leave it in the Mett Cave. Miles would know where to look.
Seriously though, I think that when he isn't calling plays he is having conversations with Stud and Krags about what to call each play. He runs the offense.

The head coach is involved in play calling? That's an astute observation.
So without a resource like the list of plays, what do you think he is saying? "Run" vs. "Pass" or what? Or is he just saying something like "Yea I like that". I know the rant knows these things. I would like to learn. I figured it's always only generalities like "He runs the offense" because nobody has asked you to be specific on your knowledge.
