I thought our O-Line also did an excellent job last night at picking up blitzes. Any word on Faulk??

Thankfully we have an extended week for players to heal from any nick-nack injuries.

When I saw Lee do the play action pass to Randle from our own 5 I knew Les finally trusted his QB. I loved it.

Also, the "needs to look off his receivers" SHUT UP! That one play he looked Randle's way and at the last minute turned and fired into Odell was beautiful.

Just think Odell is emerging, Randle is coming around and we get Shephard back next week. The future looks bright for this team.

We still need better play calls .MSU stacked the box all night and we still ran up the middle. I thought the coaches learned something when the offense passed the ball and walked down the field to score a TD. We need to throw more on 1st and 2nd down and throw farther down the field.

Yes, for 148 yards, and dismantled a weaker team in the second half.

That is what we do.

2. Lee looked great last night, however a better D last night could have caused a lot of trouble. Lee was locking on to his receivers and never scanned the field. That is a problem that we need to fix over the next couple weeks, before the meat of the SEC schedule starts.

Really? 21-27, 1 TD, 1 int. That's a pretty damn good stat line. Believe it or not, Moo St.'s secondary is likely the 2nd best we'll see all year, with Bama being #1. They have a talented and experienced secondary. Lee did work last night.

I still am undecided on his 1 pick. It looked like a read for the WR and Randle took the underneath/sideline throw and Lee wanted to go over the top. I think it was just a bad read/decision by Lee.

On kickoffs only, MSU's starting field position was the 33 yard line.
Kickoffs and punting last night would seem to be LSU's one glaring vulnerability. Opposing OCs and ST coaches will zero in on that possible weakness from here on out. We'd best improve next week.

I agree with both points. His stats were solid and he connected on lots of different routes at critical times. But several of his incompletions were very ugly, with multiple defenders very near. Against a defense with more skilled athletes, those incompletions come a lot closer to being interceptions. Just something to work on as the season progresses.
