We would be SEC Tournament Champs. The SEC Champion this year was Texas (best record).

Being top 8 is all that matters. LSU will be somewhere 3-6 no matter what
That's the way I see it. For some reason, I see LSU getting the #3 seed. But, I'm not sure that anything matters much as long as LSU gets a national seed and gets to host a SR. JMO.

Your statement is true as well

Beating Aggie and ending Aggie’s season Earley-er than originally thought would just mean more.

It matters more because they were 3-4 in regular season standings. Winning tournament will definitely bump up seeding.

A&m had a brain fart against Missouri, and a terrible start to the year at 1-8. They are most definitely a top 25 team from a talent standpoint.

Winning the SEC tournament title is still a pretty cool thing.
We have enough hardware from this tournament to start using them as doorstops.
And you know what? I don’t give a frick. I want another doorstop. Shy of winning the CWS, it’s the most prestigious tournament to win in all of college baseball.

Aggy will end up in someone’s regional as a 3 seed.

It’s not entirely meaningless. RPI changes could make a difference for a club or 2 or 3.
It's meaningless for LSU. For other teams probably not.
Sure we can move up from a #5 seed to a 4 seed. Regardless we are a Top 8 seed and right now that's all that matters

With an 11-19 SEC record and a Missouri Sweep over them. I don’t think so.

Really bad coaching job it would appear.
I thought they were back after the series wins against Tennessee, Arkansas and LSU. But they choked their season away

With Laviolette and Sorrell I'd agree, without them not so much

highly doubt it, if Kade pitches tomorrow, which he will,im sure, then we will pitch eyanson in game 2 if we make it. he's not going to pull out all the stops to win one game.
Welp

The SEC Tourney only matters to shite teams fighting to get in. And no, the SEC Tourney isn’t pretty cool. It’s a waste of time for a meaningless trophy

I assume you didnt watch the game then. Why would you waste your time on a meaningless game?
Had you watched the game you would have seen how wrong you were about the tnmt mattering to only shite teams. Hoover was filled, as usual, with LSU fans making it feel like an LSU home game. The sec tnmt must matter to the fans who spend their money and time to watch their tigers in Hoover.
Had you watched you might have also noticed how hard the LSU players played and how much they wanted to win a meaningless game.
That one extra win also helped squelch any discussion that LSU was not already a top 8 seed. The outcome was impt enough to Johnson to put in Eyanson in relief. Winning the SEC tnmt and keeping starters fresh for the regionals are nit mutually exclusive. LSU has the luxury of not having to go all out to win the sec tnmt.
I dont care if some fans find the tnmt meaningless, thats their opinion. It just happens to be a minority opinion. I’m guessing 95% of LSU baseball fans are looking forward to our “meaningless” game with Ole Miss today.
In what world is beating Ole Miss to maybe screw their chances of getting a home regional meaningless anyway?
