He didn't look right On that opening kickoff. Slow an very unfluid.

Sorta like Alex hurst, Collins or wilford. Maybe even a bit of jc Copland.

No, LSU dominated on offense and defense, minus a few drops. He needs to remember it's not about just his performance. I don't view September 8 as a dead day in history.

I agree with this. He's a team player, should be very happy for the win. Is that not how it works anymore?

Does this work the other way also? Is he going to be ecstatic if we lose but he catches 7 balls for 110 yards and a TD?
Good question!

Funny how some of you jackasses take something that a college kid tweeted and try to turn it into something completely different. OMG Odell isn't a team player, he isn't happy that the team won.

He played like shite and he knows it and he doesn't want it to happen again.

Let me guess...you were probably bitching last season after the national championship game when JJ said he thought hewas making good decisions and that he played well?

Which way would you rather have it? A kid getting upset that he didn't play well or a player who is complacent and thinks its ok when he played like dog shite because he thinks he made good decisions and had an okay night?

I take this to mean that he has put it behind him and is working to improve.

You missed the point. I don't mean to trash Odell btw. I'm sure he is a team player. But what I was referring to was he should be happy with wins and not happy with losses regardless of individual play. So yes, I for one was not pleased with JJ saying he played well when the team failed miserably. But that's not even a good comparison because JJ didn't even play well as we all know. I don't mind players having high expectations of themselves and being disappointed in individual performance. Just needs to temper the extreme sadness with the fact that the team did well for his own sake and for the team. He'll be fine. He's a great player.

Extreme sadness? Are you effing kidding me? The dude tweeted that 9/8 is a dead day in history...I dont think he needs a dose of prozac or anything, he simply made a comment insinuating that a performance that bad won't happen again. I find it to be a good / positive forward looking comment.

I was actually encouraged that Odell Jr. was frustrated with his performance, which was clearly nowhere near his best as a Tiger. It actually shows some leadership and integrity for him to admit the dropped passes & fumble on the kick return were plays not up to his usual standards--also shows he takes responsiblity and does not shift the blame to others.

This is in stark contrast to JJ last year, who never seemed to want to take responsibility for any of his mistakes, on or off the field.

This is what I was replying to because this is a fricking idiotic statement. From the sound of it you make it sound like he is selfish and is only worried about his own numbers which is beyond retarded. The kid wants to win and he wants to excel and play to his full potential which there is no problem with.

But keep up the awesome posts.

We should always be happy with LSU's football program. If you lose to Bama by 40, just shake it off and feel that Les Miles did his very best. If JJ throws 3 picks and then scowls and yells at his offensive line, give the guy a break. He's probably over worked with his stressful schedule. Every one, win or lose, deserves a trophy for trying their hardest.
