Espn's Myron medcalf tweeted "If Ben Simmons could do it all over again"...

Ben responded
quote:

@medcalfByEspn wouldn't change a thing

You can bash the coach.
You can bash Ben.
You can bash the basketball program in general.
But you can't bash the love that Simmons has for LSU. Glad the number#1 recruit in the country chose a school not known for elite basketball. He may be gone by seasons end but he'll always bleed purple and gold! He went out of the norm and chose LSU the best thing fans can do is show this dude how grateful we are that he's here and not else where.

This tweet proves NOTHING, as it relates to loyalty to LSU!

What does he need to do to prove that he cares? I'll hang up and listen.

Dont know that he "loves LSU", but I can totally respect that tweet and the fact that he shuts down the media everytime they try to goad him into talking bad about his choice. Ben has been very adamant that he is not doubting his choice.

This, all of this.

Such a pity that many on here can't wait to bid him good riddance.

"Standing there, at the front of the student section, roaring and cheering with the rest of the Tiger faithful: Ben Simmons,” Davis wrote. “And he nodded at me, and I nodded at him. And then he pointed up at the crowd – like they were some wild orchestra he was conducting with his seven-foot wingspan – and shouted, ‘Drake! You know you want to be here. You know!’”

Is he a heck of a shooter like Durant was(or even Westbrook)? Shooting the ball well with size can get it done in the NBA.Or have the overpowering size, game, and tough attitude like Shaq? .Yeah he's a Magic Johnson type but Magic had a rock offensive Center, and a team that had the best at every position. After all of the hype Benny-Sim received before even setting foot on a college court he would be running the risk of being called a bust-a RICH one, but a BUST. Especially if his team loses or not meet fans expectations. And when the media starts chirping, it could unravel him permanently. If he's not starving he would benefit with a another year of college , learning to shoot, playing man to man defense with his feet, blocking shots cleanly and getting hisself a quick one bounce jump hook-before the double teams come. And free throw shooting- he doesn't want a Hack-a-Ben in the NBA.

He'll probably do the opposite because of people like me though

If he can make it through this miserable year at LSU, he'll be find. I can't remember the last elite player that went through such a relatively large amount of adversity as Simmons.

Whatever college can do for him to improve, the NBA will do 5-fold or more. No reason to come back, although I'd absolutely love it.

Up front, I don't know jack crap about basketball..... The games that I watched this season were all on ESPN and the thing that struck me about Simmons was his lack of aggressiveness. A kid that talented should have been shooting the ball the vast majority of time. It seemed like he was trying too hard to be a team player instead of just taking total control. I'm just glad I got to see him play for LSU.

These kids are taught well, they know to say the right things, but the play on the court says another thing ... in the end, it’s up to the coach to keep things in order
