Will traffic be gridlock after game to BHam on interstate or are there any backroad routes that are better?

Yes, but not awful. There's construction on 20/59 east of Tuscaloosa right now that's a little brutal.

Oh, and perhaps this is subjective, but when you get to Bham, I feel like 459 has way more traffic than just staying on 20 into downtown.

This is my 5th visit or so but never stayed in Birmingham for game.

Any good spots west of stadium to park if going back to Birmingham or is the high school still a good spot?

The high school is the best bet.

Central High School parking guests may enter the parking lot from either 15th or 17th Streets. Parking fees are $175 for RVs and $20 for other vehicles. Tickets will also be presented for placement in vehicle windows.

Oh it will be nuts after this game. I would go Hwy 11

Tuscaloosa does not have Uber thanks to the Mayor and city council overlords.

Park downtown and walk to the parking deck. Pay $2 to ride the bus to the stadium and back to the deck after the game. It is BY FAR the most efficient way to get in and out of a game.

Another parking suggestion especially for people staying in Tuscaloose or Meridian is to Google "Tuscaloosa Magnet School". This is the school right next to the Hampton Inn and old Bob Baumhower's Wings Sports Grill. Parking is only 10 dollars and it's only about a 250 to 300 yard walk to one of the free shuttle pick up spots. The best part is it's extremely easy to get out of traffic after the game.

Do not under any circumstances park at magnet. All the new retail construction at the 15th and McFarland area is going to make getting back to the interstate a disaster from there.

Thanks for all the info guys. My crew will be rolling into town around noon on Saturday. Which option would work better at that time?

Park off of Jack Warner Pkwy near Manderson Landing. It is the easiest way out once the game ends. You can take Jack Warner to 28th street, then take a left on 6th street, then take a right onto Lurleen Wallace (which is 359, which connects directly to 20/59). You can be out of all of the traffic and cruising on the interstate within 20 minutes after a game ends. It's not a bad walk to the stadium either. Enjoy Tuscaloosa, and try not to destroy the place like UGA fans.

One of my fraternity brothers always parks cars at his house. Usually for big games its like 40-60 bucks. We always start drinking at his place and work our way to the bars and the quad from there before heading to the game.

Go North to Jack Warner Post game traffic map

Then follow it and get on Holt Peterson to Hwy 216 (Old Birmingham Hwy) which eventually crosses the interstate wayyyyyyyyyy east of Tuscaloosa.

Study the map
