pitching Eyanson

Giving him a chance to work in relief. Hasn't done it, and you may need him to do it in a super/CWS

There’s a lot of people who just don’t understand the value of having both throw today and having both available on 7 day’s rest for Friday. Added bonus, when you win you get some young guys some valuable postseason innings. ETA. Having both available on 7 days’ rest for next Friday allows us to look at the best match up with potential opponent rosters.

Thank you. Solid post and facts. Now the other dumbasses can STFU

In a single elimination game you throw your best arms when you need them.

If this was a 4-0 game or if we had gotten a few more runs you may not see Eyanson here. But it’s a 2 run game so we need our best arm out there to give us our best chance to play tomorrow.

Kade is our best arm but he ran out of gas. Anthony is our next best so it’s his turn.

None of thos is correct.

Anderson didn't run out of gas.

Eyanson was going to pitch tonight no matter what

Most of you are clueless

But he’s also really big on matchups. If the 4 seed had a bunch of righty hitters and the 2 seed has several lefty hitters, I can definitely see him swapping them.

He literally said this on the postgame. The facts are we don’t know who we are playing next Friday. Good chance Anderson starts but at least he has that flexibility

LSU is ranked #1. How is an 8 seed not a lock

The rankings are so far off from reality. They’re rewarding wins and punishing loses without considering the quality of the opponent.
Ask yourself how is the #1 team in the country a third seed in a conference tournament?
I still think this team can win a CWS but that doesn’t mean LSU is completely deserving of being ranked #1.

Yea and I’m pretty sure LSU would’ve been the first team in college baseball history to be ranked #1 in all polls at the end of the year and not receive a national seed had that happened. Which I don’t think would’ve happened regardless but some like to worry.

My how embarrassing would that be for LSU

I bet Anderson starts Friday then starts again the next Friday

Me too. I also bet that Eyanson pitched last night because Jay wanted to make sure he got live action in this single-elimination tournament. If we were ahead by six runs I doubt Eyanson would have pitched.
