Somehow, Fritz is going to have spent his entire career without coaching at a major program.

If I’m a mid-level P5 AD making a head coaching hire, Fritz would be high on my list. He’s a guy that can build a program the right way. You don’t win consistently at a place like Tulane if you can’t coach.

Damn, the refs decided to give OU a bunch of home cookin right there. Tulane should have the ball heading to cut into this lead right now.

OU is sleep-walking out there.

At 61, his time is running short to start all over again at a major program.

I get that, but if I’m an AD at a place like Wake or Stanford and hiring this off-season knowing I’m limited in who I can attract, I would make a big offer to him. He could coach for 5-8 years and use the bigger money and resources to get your program on solid footing.

Oh, no doubt. Just saying that I hope he gets a chance soon to see what he could really accomplish at a decent program while he still has his faculties intact.

I’m not discounting your point, either. His window to make a move like that is definitely limited. Who knows. Maybe he really likes it at Tulane and stays there until he retires. They would be very fortunate if that turns out to be the case.

The cheerleaders look dumb with the masks under their chins. Fans don’t need masks but cheerleaders do?

Supposedly just signed a 7 year extension. Might be that he's just riding out one last gig before retirement.

His entire coaching career has been baffling like that. Leaves one small program for another after experiencing success at each stop along the way.
