Is the lack of fancy concourses really what is keeping ANYONE from attending an LSU game?

Maybe not hurting attendance, but I would bet it is definitely contributing to people leaving early, and as a result spending less money at the game. Its unfortunate, but in this day and age, these amenities are the rule in most stadiums, not the exception.

Take last weekend for UAB. Now that type weather was the exception, but if you wanted to get out of the rain for a bit and warmup, (or in September get out of the sun and cool off) there aren't any options in the lower bowl.

To make it clear though, I would be ADAMANTLY against anything that changes the exterior look of the north end-zone. They have already ruined the aesthetics of the South, west and east with upper decks. It is all that is left that you can actually see of the original coliseum look of the stadium.

If not they’d probably try to find some way to corral the student section - at least in my experience at LSU, keeping students away from the normies seemed to be a priority.

My kids were students at LSU from 2009-2019. I absolutely fell in love again with sitting/standing in the student section, especially for big games. Plus, my potty mouth is a non-issue there. Felt like Rodney Dangerfield in Back to School.

As TV revenues have increased exponentially, schools seem to realize that they may have over-expanded their stadiums.

The problem remains, however, of consistently filling the seats they have.

They are competing with TV. They have to convince ticket buyers that staying at home shouldn't be an option.

Turning the entire stadium into permanent, chairback seats should be LSU's first priority. Restroom facilities should be second. Improved, more accessible concession stands should be priority No. 3.

If LSU doesn't address all those things, more and more people will opt to remain at home. And no one should blame them.

If LSU were to lose, say, 20,000 seats by switching to chairbacked seating, the stadium's capacity would still be 82,000. Plus, they could justify increasing the ticket prices to offset the number of lost seats.

Chairbacks, concessions, fan lounge areas, climate control, and shade are most important things they can do imo. I think a mini awning would do wonders for the upper decks. Like Tennessee and Alabama have for part of their uppers

I agree! I am ready to move somewhere else in the stadium if it stays the same!

Was Woodward in charge when a&m renovated Kyle? looks like we may do something like they did and basically split up the lower bowl into tiers
