You seem to be hellbent on hitchin your wagon to a guy who has only played 2-3 HS games in 3a football the last two years and a guy who ran a video game offense in one of the smallest school classifications

I'm hitching my wagon on reality, which is as follows: LSJ is small. History has shown us for small qbs to be successful literally everything else must be perfect, i.e. Brees being an elite passer or Russell Wilson having elite defense and running game. LSJ isn't an elite passer. His success came as a dual threat spread qb, with across the board skills slightly above average but no skill that's elite comparable to college athletes. Even though he ran scout team as Lamar Jackson, he's no Lamar Jackson in terms of height speed raw athleticism and most important strength of schedule. I'm focusing on Narcisse and Brennan bc they have baseline measurables and play making ability.

Fran Tarkenton had a distasterous scouting report on him. "Small but Slow"-- but his heart, desire & work ethic carried him to

Drew Brees is maybe 6 ft even, and weighs 210. He has never been described as having a cannon for an arm, just an adequate one. It's what's between his ears and practice that has made him great.

L. Scott is 5-11 and 205.
Size and arm strength aren't everything.

He's also never played a college game. The only thing we as fans have to go off of is that he ran circles around a VERY good defense last year preparing for the bowl game. During the spring game, his O-Line basically was made to look like a bunch of drunk 8 year olds, and he had no time to do anything. I don't think he'll get a shot this year, as Etling is a 5th year senior and has MUCH more college xp than anyone else on the team

McMillan and Scott will never play at LSU. QB job is Etlings then Narcisse or Brennan's. Everyone believing the LS/JM hype also believed Steven Rivers was the next Phillip and Jerrard Necktat Randall was the future.

Can he be a Herb Tyler?

A Herb Tyler type performance wins the NC with this D and running back.

He's like 1/2" shorter than Herb.

Gonna be a long year if the Freshman play QB

Etling may not recover from Back procedure

Brennan is thin

Narcisse has not played football in 2 years coming off knee surgery

McMillan and Scott may be our only hope

The REAL truth -as we're seeing with all recruits having interest in LSU - is that being in THIS program, whether as a QB, RB or slot receiver, gives LSJ THE BEST shot at a big pay day

Example: One Russell Shepperd; spread/gun offense QB in HS; doesn't sniff QB at LSU; switches to WR; has good workouts for scouts; scouts KNOW the studs LSU recruits and give him a shot for tryouts---- he's just signed a 3 yr deal worth more than anyone on this board makes (SWAG)

I would love nothing more than to see him start at some point this year. I too saw him dismantle my HS team for 3 years....

I just think he made a business decision that has the possibility of allowing him a shot at QB, but in the long run, gives him the BEST shot at the NFL

You're 100% correct I know some of our brilliant fans claim he's a Michael Vick/Tom Brady hybrid but here are the schools that recruited him. Lmao this is the sure fire superstar QB in waiting that's going to set the nation on fire and get us back to prominence. Funny not one other half decent school wanted him how is that possible? I'll hang up and listen for the experts answer.

I walked by him on campus. He's thick for a QB. Thought he was a RB. But the fact that he was no more than 5'9" really made me double take when I realized it was him. I don't know a thing about his skills, intangibles, etc. But I saw him with my own 2 eyes and that boy is short. People use Brees as a comparison. Brees would eat soup off his head

I hope he beats everyone out and has the best career of any former QB. Just so you can look like an arse.
