He didn't try - he actually did it. He did it in 03 and he did it this year. He campaigns anytime he is even close.

ACtually he did not eaither year. IN 2003, he said, I think we might have just won a NC, but we will have to wait until Monday (or whatever day)[the polls come out]. He was right. AP #1 does not drop after winning a bowl game. Did not say they should have been in the BCS NC game, nor did he lay claim to it.

Folks really need to move on. It has been over 5 years now.

This year, he said something very similar to ' no disrespect to either of those two teams, Florida or OU...the way we are playing right now, I just don't think anyone can beat us...but that is not the system we have...".

You can believe whatever you want. "Three-Pete" Carroll campaigns for his team to get in the big game because they can't seem to make it there on their own with a cupcake schedule every year. Boo - fricking - hoo for USC

Earn it on the field and knock off the campaign. Run your sorry arse schedule and you will be there. Damn, you only play like 3 ranked teams a year, its not that hard with the talent you have. USC has underachieved despite all the dynasy talk, and I realize that has to sting. I also understand that USC is the pro franchise in LA, so the bandwagon is extra large these days, but where were all these people during the Todd Marinivich days? Let me guess, they were all Florida St. fans at that time.

And . . . . I will get over it, at the precise moment USC stops claiming that they won the Natioinal Championship in 2003. Until then, I look forward to the annual mid season embarrassing failure of the Trojans flaming out against a pathetic WAC-10 patsie.

Southern Cal, with more national champions than anybody in NCAA baseball, comes to Tulane and loses their series. Pretty cool for Tulane.

You have to get real about your conference, and be honest with yourself. The national media seem to have finally caught on to the fact that the WAC-10 is weak
I'm absolutely honest about the PAC-10. The bottom half (5 teams) was garbage last season. WSU and UW will very likely suck for the forseeable future (more power to them if they don't, they're not pampered by big money like SEC teams are) and Arizona will always flatter to deceive as long as Stoopid's in charge. After that, things get a little better as you look from the bottom up. ASU had no offensive line and a QB that while talented, was getting smacked around like a domestic abuse victim nearly every game. They'll probably be a little better this season. ucla, though I can't freaking stand them, have talent that's undeniable. chow-heisel will have them competitive, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them beat Tennessee on the road this season, continuing the PAC 10's dominance of the SEC in this decade. Now granted the inter-conference match ups are generally the big dogs like LSU and USC against the minnows like Arkansas and UW, but if the SEC were REALLY that much better than the PAC 10, how could we possibly compete, let alone have a winning record against your conference? Fact is, while I'll give the SEC best conference top to bottom(good recruiting classes and sucking on the teat of big money) , it's been proven time and again that it ain't THAT much better, even with the massive financial advantage. The PAC 10 does more with less than the generally overrated SEC does.

Not to mention that have a winning record v. the last several seasons. Oh no folks, I am not saying the PAC-10 is stronger than the SEC. I am just saying that the terribely weak conference as many of you call it, just seems to beat up on the SEC more often than not as of late.

Pac 10 is a good conference with a lot of athletes, they just play diff football in the 10 then they do in the SEC, more west coast type ball.

OK, so The big boys of the WAC-10 like your beloved profilactics don't make any money? Is that what you are telling me? And, don't be afraid to leave the friendly confines of your own stadium to play any of the SEC schools that you dominate. Making SEC teams travel cross county to play you at home is just a slight advantage.

We have played at ASU in the past, and we have UW this year. I know these are not your better teams, but then again neither was Oregon St or Stanford the last 2 years.

It is my dream that LSU and USC play each other while they are both at the top of college football.

What a fine representative of the LSU fan base you are.

We shut Auburn out at Jordan-Hare in 2003. When's the last time an SEC team did that? We then dropped half a hundred on the SEC West Champs in Fayetteville.

Do your homework or STFU.

The fact that so many of you are typing out looooong paragraphs to this USC fan proves how insecure you are about 2003. Let it go.

Just get off you high horse and just look at where the last three national champions have come from? I'm pretty sure they are from the SEC.

Did you just crawl out of a cave? SC plays home and aways against OOC opponents, other than Idaho recently and they were a quick fill in.

If Auburn were to come on here and claim a NC because Women's Digest proclaimed them NC in 2004, what would you do? Laugh! When USC comes on here claiming a NC in 2003 because of the AP, do what I do...laugh. Since 1998...no cystal means no meaningful National Championship. It's as simple as that. What don't you people get? They can hang a banner, they can frame the AP headlines, but they don't have the crystal to proclaim them what every team who has won the NCG has...CRYSTAL in 2003. Laugh at them, they don't get it after it was explained to them and to everyone else. Everyone else understands it, USC doesn't. Laugh at stupidity!

Been around it long enough now that it's part of the my culture. I saw a couple of young fans here tigerbaiting a guy with a Miss. State shirt on and they reminded me exactly of the scene in Talledega Night.

Ricky and Cal are arguing with the french driver and they keep saying; "shake and bake" about 15 times and they get a huge kick out of it.
