My only question is: how big is Quinn? I know he's listed at 6' but man he does not look anywhere close to that on TV, more like 5'10ish max. He looks tiny when hes in bump n run against DBs who are listed around 6'.

I can't comment as to how big he actually is.

Regardless, the other receivers are bigger.

Les must have promised him playing time to ensure he signed or did not transfer. Damn what happened to Avery johnson.....or number 82 running the sweep.

Whatever a player is listed as lose 2 inches and 20 pounds.... That would be closer to actual height/weight?

I mean, neither of those dudes should be playing over Quinn.

Dural, Dupre, Quinn, and Diarse are the clear four best receivers.

I just wish Dupre and Diarse would get more snaps.

Meh. I think Quinn is better than Diarse.

Good post overall. When the QB is as inconsistent as Jennings, receivers have to step up and grab the catchable passes. Quinn dropped a couple that could have pushed the game in the other direction. But there's no point in singling him out. Offense was okay, then terrible, then decent, then they just lost it.

Anyway, what a heartbreaker last night was.

I honestly don't recall feeling this shitty after a loss since 1/9. We had it won and gave it up. That means four straight and almost four years before we have a chance to beat Alabama in November of 2015. Pathetic. We've become an annual "tough matchup"/stepping stone to their pursuit of championships.

LSU has a true freshman QB with more upside than Jennings. He is NOT starting. Please explain the difference to us "fricking idiots".

Do you remember Bandon Lafell? You know, the dude who now plays in the NFL? Had so many drops his Sophomore yearn, people were crying for him to benched? OBJ? Yep, also had a boat load of drops when he first started, and again, now playing in the NFL. You want to throw a kid under the bus for one bad game? Shameful...and you are flaming...

Quinn, Jones and Dupre each dropped an easy one, but those catches would have still put Jennings below 45% on the night. The second Quinn "drop" was a poorly thrown ball low and outside. Any college caliber (not just SEC) quarterback should be able to make a more accurate five yard throw to a stationary receiver.
Jennings locks in on Dural too much. Quinn, Diarse, the tight ends and even Dupre (when he isn't streaking down the left sideline) are probably shocked to see the ball coming their way.

Any college caliber receiver should make that catch, too.

Maybe so, but it's silly to say a receiver sucks because he didn't catch a poorly thrown ball.

Not a single person has said he sucks. He just isn't ready to compete at a high level yet.

..

Lafell and OBJ didn't get playing time at the expense of another receiver anywhere near as talented as Malachi Dupre.

I guess Dupre isn't either then. Or Beckham, Landry, Lafell, etc. weren't either.
Drops happen all the time. Look at Cooper last night.

Diarse has more big play ability than Quinn. Dupree was killing his guy last night on fade routes, which seem like the only route Jennings can throw accurately. For some reason we abandoned it in the back half of the game.
