From Burton's perspective, I think he's right. Bama played UF much tougher than LSU did. Bama's modus operandi is obviously to control the game with pain.

Watch the Bama vs. UF game again and count the number of times a UF player is body-slammed in the white part of the field. I'm not saying it should have been a penalty, but you can just see that Bama "finishes" every tackle with a little something extra. LSU needs to be prepared, especially Ware. I guarantee that Bama will notice that Ware turns his back to get extra yds. Expect Bama to put a helmet in his kidneys. That game will not be for the feint of heart.

Spot on.

Our players are engineered the way they are on purpose. They are smaller then last year, but they are faster

I think this is good for our defense. Don't want all the praise to get to their heads. I'd still take our D over Alabama's any fricking day of the week.

And special teams. And the fact LSU is top 3 in turnover margin and bama is 50.

After looking up the stats we will have to worry a lot about. Today, Bama 2 penalties for 15 yds. If they hold or block in the back or hit the receiver a tad before the ball gets there, the refs just don't see it.

SEC MAFIA will be waiting for us ......

Book it. And it will probably cost us. Remember our last trip when PP clearly had that interception and that AU game of blunder calls.

All things being equal, we leave with a L unless we simple beat down on them and take the refs out of it.

Bama OLine holds on damn near every play. I think the philosophy is that officials will only call 2...maybe 3 holding calls per game...which is easily made up for by being able to hold without consequence the other 65-70 plays.

It's funny that the loser would dog the winner while the winner say something like this.

quote:

When asked about facing Florida’s defensive line, LSU offensive lineman Will Blackwell said he was impressed and expects a lot of improvement, but it’s not there yet and LSU was more than ready for it.

Per ESPN report. Class starts at the top.

I've always thought Trey Burton was an insignificant douchebag Tim Tebow wannabe. I see no reason to change my mind.

He's just mad because we kicked the shite out of his arse all over the field today.

I didn't like that kid last year. Came in with this condescending attitude.

This pretty much confirms my instinct was right.

this.

I know it's easy to dismiss it as tinfoilism, but the proof is in recent history.

That dude is a loser. If they're not as good as advertised, why did they get two picks and only have one meaningful pass completed against them (and that was after the WR went out of bounds).

Meanwhile, Brantley (who has had his struggles at UF) had about 200 yds. passing in the 1st half against Bama including a 65-yard TD on the 1st offensive play.
