that with the way Lee played after a "horrendous first half", that "LSU has a national championship caliber offense to match that defense."

I hope The Hat gives Lee a chance to keep that job..I think the kid earned it.

How many teams win a MNC with a freshman QB?

Has this ever happened? It would be first I believe

Michael Vick and V. Tech were in the championship game in Vick's freshman year.

While I think Lee played well in the second half, I'm starting to think he is getting too much praise. People are starting to get carried away. He still has a long way to go, but the Auburn game was a good start. Hopefully his struggles early were a matter of confidence and now he is ready to roll.

Funny how that works, isn't it? In the first half they were ready to hang him. In the second half they said he hung the moon.

i think some bill parcells "tough love" would be a good thing right now. keep him hungry, keep him humble. i think he played great in the 2nd half, but his body of work does not warrant the media lovefest for him

**not saying its going to his head or that hes not good or deserving of starting, just want him to keep getting better leading the tigahs

Trevor and Rece are the best things about CFL. Matich actually analyzes, unlike most of those stiffs on the right side of my screen.

I believe as Tiger fans we are desperately looking for one of our QB's to take command of this football team and the starting job. I am still a lil reluctant to hand over the reigns but I am definitely encouraged ny that halftime turn around by Mr Lee and hope he continues to make strides and earns the fulltime job in the near future.

Tebow was a freshman for FL latest. He wasn't the starter but, played a prominent role.
Of course, J. Lee is only a freshmen in terms of eligibilty

You make a good point. If anything, this coaching staff is good at keeping player egos in check. Note Miles all day talking as if as soon as Hatch is healthy, the two QB rotation will be back. I think they are well positioned to keep Lee's attitude in check and to keep developing him at a sustainable pace.

You do realize the arrival of the BCS eliminated the concept of a mythical national championship ?
