No, no, no, these are the kind of threads where you continue to laugh at the idiocy and make sure everyone sees it.

i like this play i saw once where a guy spins a ball on his finger, then bounces it off his head into the goal. I think LSU should run that. Maybe also get the ball to Tasmin and let him dunk it 20 times a game. And Mainieri wouldve won a title in two years if he was a good coach.

Trent's the best coach we have.

If you think he sucks, I'd love to see your thoughts on Miles and Mainieri.

Exactly - make an example so that the drivel that gets written about our football team never gets anywhere near the our basketball program.

I think its hard to argue against Mainieri. I have loved everything Trent has done here, but he has only been here one year. I think he will be great for LSU, but I wouldn't call him the best coach here at this point.

This just covers the big 3 but:

Mainieri is the best overall coach we have. Top recruiter and a good in-game coach.

Trent is the best in-game coach we have from what I've seen so far. His recruiting still remains to be seen, but he has a good class coming next year.

then theres a huge gap

Les Miles - great recruiter, but he doesn't seem to know what to do with his recruits and his in-game coaching is suspect.

I saw him on the Tiger Tour in Bossier City shortly after he was hired. He impressed a tough crowd and seemed to put a premium on discipline and commitment.

+1
With that being said I hope Trent Johnson is here for a long time.

not much is left on this team aside from taz, stor, and bo. trent will get as much as he can out of them, but outside of those seniors last year brady didn't leave him a lot of depth. either way this program is in much better hands than it was 2 years

What an absurd statement. Brady left Trent an SEC championhip team which was healthy.

He had four good freshmen signed in Dennis Harris, Delwan Graham, Storm Warren and Jmison Morgan. This was a top 20 class. Anthony Randolph was on the team. He had commitments from Tommy Mason Griffin and Brandon Mitchell for 2009. After Trent Johnwson was hired Randolph declared for the NBA, Morgan requested a release to go to UCLA and Mason-Griffin and Mitchell decommited.

Since March of 2008 this has been Trent Johnson's team. Brady is not responsible for any depth issues.

Why don't you compare the state of this program in March of 1997 to March of 2008?

Thus far Trent Johnson has been impressive, but we should wait 4 to 5 years before deciding just how good he is.

29-8 last year. SEC championship. Took UNC deep into the second half.
2-0 this year.

If you need more evidence, watch the games. Watch his press conferences.

Trent's a class guy with a brilliant basketball mind and knows how to get his players to play hard.

The biggest difference is that the Brady Bashers aren't on the RANT telling every top recruit not to come to LSU because our basketball coach is an idiot--big differnce.

The LSU recruiting program had to suffer from the Brady Bashers for over half the decade.

Lets hope the Johnson Bashers don't show up for at least a couple more years.

If LSU won a NC in bball 5 years from now under TJ, I'm certain tiger20 would post about how Brady somehow was responsible for the banner.

He's gone (proof that God does exist). Get over it. We have a real coach now.

Maineiri is the Anti Miles. In non conference play, early he experiments with the young guys letting them play, pitching rotations and positional players. People have gotten pretty down on him before conference play. Losing to ULL in particular. But, he proves he knows what he is doing

This is the guy that was hollering at the game the other night to the refs,

How did you miss that offside?

He had both feet in on that interception? Why you giving the ball back to them when he had control of the ball when he went out.

When we dunked, you stood up screaming "Touchdown!!!!!! Tigers!!!!!!"

Today against a team that couldn't rebound to save its life, it seemed as if half LSU's points came on putbacks.
