That's the million dollar question Slow. I hope that's not the case, but it has been a question of mine since I've seen what Trent is trying to do.

Can it be done at LSU? And further, can it be done by Trent.

We'll find out about the latter in a couple of years.

LSU ain't Kentucky or Duke. It never will be. TJ won his first year at LSU when nobody predicted it, nobody. He didn't sign players for the second season because he wanted to sign the players who are freshmen this year. That was a gamble that may or may not pay off, but it is too early to tell.

I can see some things in the team that are troubling, but I also see some good things. Time will tell. The teams LSU has lost to this season for the most part are experienced. LSU is not.

Based on his history at other schools and based on what LSU did his first year, I know the guy can coach. Whether he is successful over the long haul remains to be seen.

I say get off the guy''s back now. I'm willing to wait a year or two.

Yea, brah. Roster is full of 4 year players in their 1st and 2nd years. Why is that so hard for casual basketball followers to understand?

I'm with ya' Kanomie. Don't make this year any more fun, but I'm gonna give him a at least that much.

Heck, and whether I do or not he's gonna get it. I hope he comes through.

Right. The guy's going to get 5 years. Any argument to the contrary is pointless. It's funny people asking "how long are we going to give him" like the people in this board, surfing the Internet in their underwear while eating peanut butter right out of the jar are making those kinds of decisions.

Sometimes things that look hopeless aren't as hopeless as they seem. Just ask Coach K.

Those Dukies wanted to string him up by his ying-yang, but he eventually got it turned around.

Now Trent's not K, but maybe it's not as bad as it looks right now. That's my hope.

I believe it's called deflecting.

No, it's mostly in response to the Brady did this or that, or the Brady's players BS.

I agree, we shouldn't be. I'll do my best not to.

5 years is nonsense in college basketball. If TJ doesn't have this year's team improving by season's end, then the end be to him. This squad has to show signs of getting better this season or that is an indictment of TJ's coaching ability. And cousin, that's the cold, hard truth.
Agreed. However I'm not sure that I would can him after this season, even if the team doesn't improve. I may be willing to give him one more season to prove he just had a bad year. Although on the flip side if the team doesn't improve this year, given how bad it is now, I might change my mind. As Jeremy Foley, UF Ad said when he fired Zook in mid season, "what needs to be done eventually must be done imediately". So if TJ can't get this team to improve (which shouldn't be that hard to do since they are so bad now) then he has failed as a coach and probably shouldn't be given more time. But I seriously doubt he would go anywhere before his contract is out.

settle in Aleva is going to give him a minimum of 4 years and most likely all five of his contract
