Watford not having his best game with a really good stat line shows how good a college basketball player he is and will become.

Watford had 9 assists, 13 points on 7 shots, 4 offensive rebounds, 3 steals, a block and only 1 turnover.

Thats a really good stat line

Bahahaha... Will literally just said we had him at the top in an effort to create plays. It’s not like the guy just stands there while Wade wants him on the block

Don't misunderstand, I think Watford is a generational talent. His potential is through the roof.

I just felt he was playing timid on offense through the 1st 3/4 of the game.

Well that was a terribly odd call to have a penetrator on the perimeter with nobody cutting to the basket.

Who is that making plays for? The other post presence?

Also keeping him out from the post probably prevented him from dominating on the boards, right?

Maybe Wade was trying shite out, in a game we were obviously going to win?

Are you people saying LSU should actually be running plays on offense??? Has that been the case EVER under Wade??

I think you made valid points. I'd like to see Watford more effective scoring down low, either driving to the basket or posting up.

Also, as a team, they've got to get better on D. We'll see today against St. Louis, a quality team, how much improvement they'll need.

Overall, I'm excited about the talent and depth. Cam looks polished, strong, and consistent. I would have liked to see Penn-Johnson play more. I liked his offensive rebound and dunk. O'Neal looks athletic and tall. He's probably needs to be coached to play down low and work on his strength. I saw he got taken out after his made 3, probably just a coincidence. If he could develop a mean streak down low, he could be a nice shot-blocking and rebounding presence we missed last year.

I liked Gaines. He's going to grow into a good player.

Really looking forward to seeing Leblanc when he is available.

I like your words.

For the one moron who is acting like my OP was a condemnation of his play for the entire game, my original post was made 5 minutes into the 2nd half.

Overall, I think Watford had an OK game. I just think he can be great.

i said it many times last night.

Gaines played well, but at 6'2 155, he needs to put on weight. . .or develop a great moving 3 pt stroke

Yeah but how many turnovers and bad shots did he take? He should not be playing outside the arc as he is a liability out there. He needs to pick and roll or do something down low and around the free throw line.
