we could witness Canada run the dive and 3 or 4 other plays, and have a passing offense ranked lower than 100 almost every year? I’ll take my chances with what we have now.

would hamstring Canada more than socialized medicine

HC Aranda
look, I love Aranda as much as the rest of us, but I'm getting tired of the constant pumping for him as HC, when he doesn't have a lick of experience at that.

Besides, I just get the feeling (no source) that he doesn't want to be a head coach.

So I'll go on record saying that Aranda won't ever be a head coach. I could be very wrong, but it's just a gut feel, and I get tired of so many on this board wanting to hand the reins of a top football program to a guy with zero head coaching experience.

Downvote away.

Orgeron has NEVER been a coordinator. NEVER. What does that tell you? It tells you he lacks X's and O's gray matter. He had HC experience at Old Miss. How'd that go? He has 2 half seasons as interim coach where he did OK. He was OUT OF COACHING when Miles hired him as a position coach. When Steele left, he wasn't promoted to D coordinator. He is a career D Line coach with 3 years of horrible HC experience.

I'll take my chances with Aranda.

This is the exact same thing I thought about you and some of your posts during the summer when you kept claiming o's tenure at Ole Miss was a successful one, and that Ole Miss unjustly fired o.

horrific logic.

So because O failed as a prior HC, you'll hire Aranda with no HC experience.

That does not compute.

ETA: I don't like O and didn't want him hired. My argument is that when O is eventually fired, let's go get a proven winner as a HC, don't roll the dice on a guy with no prior successful HC experience.

Obviously there are better scenarios

But this scenario would likely do the program more good than having O pick another coordinator.

And Miles tinkering with the Canada offense a bit might not be the worst thing in the world. We would probably benefit from some I formation in the red zone.
