Having been to all three, we are quibbling here about some pretty minor nuances. Certainly all three were amazing, and in everyone's top five over the last two decades.

I'll put '03 UGA out of the running, for a few reasons. And I can see some of the rationale for '07 UF as the greatest, with the implications, the rankings, the atmosphere.

However, if you were a fan any earlier than 1995... there is simply no way that slaying the juggernaut that was 1990s Spurrier UF, in the way we did it, in that frenzied atmosphere, with all that frustration built up, that Gator streak, and everything else... if you were at all three, and you don't think 1997 Florida was the GREATEST, you are simply wrong.

That was a 4th down do or die play man! SMDH

I was already downloading in a old nasty restroom when I thought the ceiling was going to collapse on me. Got sick from something I ate that day.

based o. Your criteria, no doubt. I was thinking intensity and emotion on the field and stadium. SC in '79 was like that game except we got screwed.

This pops up every year and never gets old for me.

03 Georgia was awesome. Day game. LSU was making a name for themselves as national contenders again and the stadium was rocking. I'll never forget the air going out of the stadium after the screen pass and then immediately bouncing right back. The student section tries to replicate that to this day, but it was purely situational.

07 Florida was unreal. I think the news said there was like 250,000 people on campus that day. Night game. Tebow and company off a National Championship. LSU was really outplayed in that game, but the defense, Hester, and the mad hatter pulled it out when they needed it. Will never forget the sound as they announced the USC score. To this day it's vivid in my mind. It's as loud as I have ever heard that place. How Florida marched right down the field and scored following that is unbelievable.

Agree.

97 was awesome. Seats about 12 rows up in the SEZ behind the posts.

Most, if not all, of the TD's were at the end of the field. And watching Faulks kick return (not for a TD) coming towards us was a thing of beauty.

Florida 97 student section FTW!!!!! Faulk, Banks dive, and a 5'10" qb. Huge underdogs coming out of the Curley era. Back then the Indy bowl was a big deal let alone beating the #1 team!!!!

Goal post came down for a real reason, the field had to get re-sodded afterwards, and the shite talking to the UF fans was epic!!!

I went to Florida '97 and Georgia '03. I didn't go to '07, but I think that has to be the one. I'd also probably put Billy Cannon's Halloween run up there at #2.

Was there for Florida 1997. Night game, Gators won the NC in 1996, and was ranked #1 coming into Tiger Stadium.
It was loud - really loud !!!
It was wild - goal posts came down.

Been going to games since before Bert Jones quarterbacked the Tigers.

Florida 1997 - hands down - most exciting, best win at Tiger Stadium.

There will never be a consensus. Depends on how old you are and which games you attended. I will be so glad when the season starts and people quit trying desperately to dream up some thread just to post something.

Who's your favorite LSU kicker?

Best punt returner?

Most underrated quarterback?

Most elusive back?

Strongest LSU player?

Player with biggest impact as a freshman?

Biggest recruiting bust?

Best position coach?

The off-season. Time for running up post counts with nonsense. Time for the kids to play on the board. Happy summer!!

Florida 07, only because I was at that game. That game was the most lit I've ever witnessed in Tiger Stadium.

97. After years of extreme abuse, we were competing with a giant and slaying that giant. Younger fans have been Spoiled for 17 years. The energy was off the charts for the Tennessee game in 2001 also.

For me it was the 97 Florida game. Spurrier was at the height of his powers and cockiness and we were given no chance that game. And I think it was the loudest I've hear TS for a whole game second only to the '79 USC game.

I was at all three and would say UF in 2007. I was also 8 at the first Florida game so each experience was pretty different and being 18 before my first year at LSU prolly added to the 07 game

Florida 07.

I remember looking to my friend at half time and we were both exhausted, the second half was on another level.

Oh Bill. C'mon now.. while your gripe has a bit of legitimatacy, we gotta reminisce at some point. Otherwise what's the point of fandom? It can't be all about X's, O's and the next game!

Georgia game for me! Can still see Mauck stepping up and getting hit while delivering a dime to Green in the endzone!

Florid '97 for me. I was there with both of my parents.

I still remember the Cedric Donaldson interception and the Herb Tyler rushing TD. That game is probably why Kevin Faulk is my all time favorite Tiger

It's the '97 Florida game for me. Florida was an absolute powerhouse back then. They were crushing teams and dominating the SEC. Coming into that game they were beating teams by an average score of 50-13. They embarrassed poor Central Michigan 82-6, and the week before playing us they beat Arkansas 56-7.

That's probably the hardest I ever saw the Tigers play.
