I think the fanbase is a bit overconfident all things considered.

I normally get nervous in the days leading up to any game. Especially hearing with the negativity on here and hearing how great some players are on the other team. For some reason I have a lot of confidence in LSU for this one.

Fairley took control of games though like not many players are able to do. The guy was a total POS but he was as dominant as they come and it showed at many times throughout the season. Players like that mask the deficiencies of the surrounding cast.

this team hasn't had consistent QB play since 07, so that's not really a variable that has significantly changed throughout this whole JJ mess
But this inconsistency makes games closer than they should be. I don't think this is going to be the beatdown some believe it will be.
