Really hope to see him on the field again one day. Hope the Giants fans realize what they have in Chad.

I'm just hoping I catch him at canes next time I decide to go.
A cj signature on a caniac box would be the shite.

I'd prob take a pic of it and post it on here for everyone to see.

I was wondering how much he was going to get paid. That's pretty awesome of the giants to pay him a portion of his salary when they didn't have to.

Nice piece on Chad. I reminds me once again of players who leave school early to chase NFL money with no degree. So few players our of college football ever make it to the NFL and fewer make big NFL money. Every time I read a story like this it makes me wonder how many former CF players are out their that wish they had stayed and gotten their degree. I wish the best for Chad and hope he makes it back to starting for the NY Giants.

cool story bro.

no one cares.

nytimes is my homepage and they decided to front page an article about chad jones, I think that's pretty fricking awesome of them. I was pretty psyched to see an article about a Tiger being there so I posted it. Please take your shite to the poliboard as it doesn't belong on this board.

Wow. Forgot to check back on this post. It's obvious that some of y'all hadn't had your coffee yet.

For the record, my post was made in jest. I guess sarcasm meters don't work on Sundays.

This was so nice to see. Many of us have been wondering about the details of his progress.

It's been quite awhile and the leg is still wrapped, but this is rehab. Right now his job is to make the leg work as well as it did before. Once it's rehabbed and strong he can try sports. Rehab will be still going for months.

Chad is a LSU legend forever. He helped us win a CWS and to beat Bama that crucial first year of Saban being coach. ANY update on him is welcome on the rant. He may not be a national celebrity but he is to us.

Wow. Strong political bias on both sides. This article is about CJ. To slam NY times is unnecessary. To state that you don't like Fox news or you have NY times as your homepage, is just as unnecessary.

Give it a rest.

Still think baseball can be his backup plan. Big, hard throwing left handed RPs are a hot commodity in MLB.

I would guess that it helps that his plant foot going towards home plate would be the non-injured foot, but I've never pitched before.

the chances of him walking right now compared to a year ago were very very slim and he acomplished that, just like his odds at the moment to play in the NFL are slim, but we'll see. I fully believe he can recover and play in the NFL in 2012.
But whether he makes it back to football or not, still a remarkable recovery from a player who will always be one of my all time favs from LSU
