(Not really. Bring this post up when Jefferson is nowhere to be found and Tennessee's in the top 10)

How about you talk shite when you get a top ten team!

lol Jonathan Crompton

My antipathy toward Crompton would be much greater, but he got Fulmer fired. I admire him for that.

This is such a ridiculous myth.

they loaded the box against us and added an extra dlineman.

They've been running 3 man fronts all year and pulled a 4 man front against us. We haven't shown any ability to protect the passer

Our offense thus far in 09 is ranked 91. We've only seen the soft part of the schedule thus far.

Our offense in '08 for the entire schedule ranked 51.

Look it up for yourself. I'm tired of posting the link.

This is all the info anyone needs.

Right, only if you wholly ignore the running game.

Are you one of the ones clamoring for Sheppard?

Even if you are not, I still don't understand the whole more Shep less JJ debate. Shep has yet to throw a pass in a game, and while he has had some big gains on the ground, if he never throws it D's will key in on Shep packages. I understand there will always be grass greener people, but it seems like when the offense stalls people demand Shep get more touches. He is a true Freshman... but given time, I think he has the potential to be an all time great Tigers, but right now let him learn.

In a thread entitled "JJ still hasn't impressed."

Our offensive woes are primarily the fault of a very, very weak interior line.

This is my 3 alternatives:

Commit to running the spread and forget this i-formation running the back into the LOS for no gain or loss. That only waste downs. Jeff ran the spread in HS. That is supposedly his specialty. Let him run the total package and we'll find out whether he's the guy or not.

Run the i-formation and power running game but w/ Lee at QB. Use the passing game to set up the run. Most agree, even past LSU qb's, that the running game will not progress until we have a respected passing game. Lee threw for a lot of yards last year.

See what Shep can do. He was the leading rusher last week even though the other team knew when he was in he would be running. Let him run this offense for a couple of series and let's see what kind of talent he has.

That's my 3 best ideas.

defense will catch on since les more than likely won't let him throw
