I've been to games at Tiger Stadium, Camp Randall, Michigan Stadium, Spartan Stadium, Ryan Field (Northwestern), Notre Dame Stadium, the Metrodome. For noise I'd rank them
1. Tiger Stadium
2. Spartan Stadium
3. Camp Randall
4. Notre Dame
5. Michigan Stadium
6. Metrodome. They use microphones to amplify the noise so I rank it lower. It's hard to judge the dome. Haven't been to the new stadium yet.

Thanks for the input cow. Have you been to Purdue, Michigan State and other places ND plays? How would you compare those stadiums? You going to the game this saturday?
here are all the stadiums that I have been too for a college football game (only visited others): (and their intimidation grade)
Arizona Stadium (D)
Florida (A)
Bama (A+)
ULL (D)
Tulane (superdome) (D)
Kentucky (owned it) (B+)
Cotton Bowl
Miss State (C+)
Citrus Bowl
Peach Bowl
Auburn (B)
Michigan (B-)
Tennessee (A+)
Notre Dame (B-)
Purdue (C+)
Georgia (A)
ASU - for ND Fiesta Bowl
Tiger Stadium (A++)
Ole Miss (A-)
Arkansas (War Memorial) (B+)
South Carolina (A-)
Haven't been to Vandy, Mich State, or Arkansas's home-field
I have seen the USC Coliseum (very weak looking) and Penn State (Beaver field), but not during a gameday. Penn State is currently the biggest stadium capacity, and it looks it. Did not realize how big it was until I showed up there.
(I am going to the ND v MSU game this Sat), but will leave early if ness to make it to the TV for the LSU game.

Bama > Rocky Top and it aint even close.
I agree Rock Top is not all that. In 06 I sat one row behind the student section and boy did I have a clear view of the stadium with about 8 seconds left.

As someone mentioned in another thread, a USC player once said, Tiger Stadium makes Notre Dame look Romper Room.

I like VT, but ranking them in the top ten because they enter the stadium to "Sandman" blasting over the speakers while their band forms a tunnel, but does not play anything, is just plain stupid. Why even bring the band on the field?

oh yeah,
forgot, I have been to Vtech too. There stadium was alright, kinda like Auburns I guess = B.
This was the funnest away game losses that I have ever been too. When was this... 2002. The night before the game on there strip, there was like a big rally/riot (not really a riot, but the news claims it was). Where LSU fans were all on one side of the street and VaTech fans were on the other. People were all yelling at each other and cars were passing by with flags and people yelling. Then LSU Superman can by one the roof of a car which really riled up all the LSU fans. Anyone else remember that?

Hell, the only intimidating thing about the Coliseum is that you play USC there.
You hit it on the head. I've been to the Coliseum. It is cool, with deep history, but definitely NOT intimidating or loud.
