Skip past #1, this ND Homer picks his own college team stadium. He does get the rest mostly correct.

the beautiful part about this post is that you suggest we skip number one because the guy has made a homer pick so that we can get to number, which you just so happen to agree with and is no way swayed by your homer pick, true?

The double-decked horseshoe of Ohio Stadium makes for one end-zone that is insanely loud, and one that is, well, not.
15k students in each endzone.

FWIW, I also like how he calls The Big House quiet(and places them 10th for it), yet Notre Dame Stadium(the exact same thing, but a bit smaller) is #1.

I would think that Autzen or Camp Randall would be on there. Hell, the only intimidating thing about the Coliseum is that you play USC there.

Kyle field should be on the list.

Here ya go Noonan:
1) ND
2) Tiger Stadium
3) Penn State Beaver Stadium
4) Florida Ben Hill Griffin
5) Neyland
6) Bryant-Denny
7) VT Lane Stadium
8) Ohio State Horseshoe
9) L.A Coliseum ( Not sure why this made the list
10) Michigan's Big House
Comments on LSU"
First of all, with a name like Death Valley, you expect a certain amount of intimidation. And when you load up Death Valley with a bunch of intoxicated Cajuns, this place gets all kinds of loud. The design, a full bowl with the giant upper decks on either side, keeps it all inside where it belongs. Mostly, though, this stadium is as high as it is by reputation as one of the toughest places to visit - there is no single defining factor here.

What I love about College Football stadiums is that the tradition continues. You don't see stadiums being torn down for new ones every 20 or so years. With ND your getting so much history combined with a stadium that is really a shrine in true Catholic fashion. So I think the ranking of number one is deserved with how the blogger approaches his rankings. The reputation of Tiger Stadium is completely different compared to Notre Dame. This is what makes college football so unique.

I may get blasted for this, but BAMA's stadium has a super nice look it... I have never been there, but it looks top notch.. The design appears to have that look of "not a bad seat" in the house, just judging from that picture

I've been to beaver stadium a few years back, and that place is fricking crazy. Its huge and loud. Reminded me alot of TS with a better studen section.

Yes, finally.
Pretty much the entire South Stands and a good amount of the Northstands as well. I'm pretty sure it's pretty close to a 15k/15k split.
As loud as the USC game was, I wonder how loud it would have been had they actually had 30k students in there. There was maybe a third of our normal student section there that night.

I've been to Bryant-Denny. For me it's too perfect and clean looking reminding me of some of the 1970's pro stadiums.
I tend to like more of the traditional bowl type of football stadiums. Bryant-Denny is a nice place to see a game. But you cannot beat Tiger Stadium and how game day is laid out.
