I was at that game. It may have had something to do with him coming off the heisman buffet circuit, but LSU kicked the shite out of him that day.

Not one of those QBs are as electric as Tua
Lol Lamar Jackson ring a bell? That was only his heisman season, in which most of the country thought he was the most electric quarterback ever.

You left out LA Techs QB

Lamar Jackson was by far more of a threat to run and was a good enough passer to warrant being a 1st round draft pick at 21 years old

Were you dropped on the head as a child ?
Possibly, was born in a hospital in Alabama so there's a good chance

Oh jeez, Aranda can shut down all of these great QBs and you have to point out a kid who had nothing to lose going off in one quarter.
He was 9-21, 120 yards with 1 TD and 1 pic, with LSU totally in control in the first half. The coaches should not have emptied the bench in the third quarter so soon.
But, interestingly, LA Tech would be the most difficult defense Tua has faced.

Love Aranda so thanks for leaving out the Wisconsin--Ohio State Big10 Championship Game in 2014 where they lost 59-0.

Got it. White guys and walk-ons playing in the secondary at Wisconsin = different than LSU. Makes sense

Tua will pass on this defense. Put up the rushing stats for LSU in big games...not so pretty. Derrick Henry is still running wild!
Posted on 11/1/18 at 4:42 pm to Lsuhoohoo
yeah He threw the ball 50 times, and almost 208 of his yards came in 3 drives where we really looked like shite.

never mind. Not even worth it

If I ever go bald, I want to look like Dave Aranda.

He wishes. I'm glad I didn't draft him in fantasy football because he is complete trash.

No he won’t.

The play calling has been so horrid for Alabama in big games with their big players it is laughable. Saban has an incredible ability to get so tight and make the worst gameday play-calling decisions when there's a lot on the line.
Hurts bailed Saban out last year in the championship because he was so awful at an unreal level that he had to pull him. Luckily Tua saved that game because that would have been the most mismanaged talent of all time letting Saban keep Tua on the bench and probably run Tua off in the offseason by sticking with Hurts simply because he didn't turn it over.
Saban is built to lean on defense and play tight when the game is high pressure. He's actually a terrible gameday coach when it comes to using his weapons in high pressure games.

Haha!
You are strongly encouraged not to hang your hat this. This come down to the DBs play. They will have their has full come Saturday. Tua is better than most want to accept he is.
For example. Bama has been known to have a dominant defense since Nick Saban arrival. Well there was a QB that played Clemson, whom happen to be the starter for the Texans. D Watson!
I just knew Bama secondary would minimize his play and i was totally wrong. He shredded my beloved Bama defense TWO YEARS IN A ROW (sorry for all caps- but man!)
I said that to say, there are Qbs that play on another level. Arm strength, understanding, ball placement is through the roof. Tua is that kind of QB. You will not stop every pass

Average QBs like Fitz from State in 2017 and Book from ND in 2018 (bowl) are excluded, right?
Top QBs are one thing, but Tua is elite. Admittedly, he’s never faced a secondary like this, but we have been beaten by opponents with far worse QBs while Aranda was the DC. I think he’s the best in the country, but numbers can be skewed any way you want (unless it’s my bank account, which is always $0).

Oh yea? How many times has he beat LSU in a row- and how many rings does he has?
Trust he will be aggressive Saturday- as he has been all year.
