I am really surprised it took 3 pages before someone mentioned eddie furniss. He finished his career as the SEC’s all-time leader in hits, home runs, RBI, doubles, and total bases.

Top 5:
Pistol Pete
Tommy Casanova
Billy Cannon
Eddie Furniss
Esther Jones

Not far behind: Semoine Augustus, Bob Petite, Shaq, Ben McDonald, Brad Cresse, Kevin Faulk, Glenn Dorsey

My top 5(that I actually saw play) in no particular order

Chad Jones - He made so many big plays, even in his freshman year. Can't forget what he did in the CWS too.

Kevin Faulk - IMO he is LSU football, I switched my football number because of him.

Chris Jackson - I might be the only person that thinks he was a better college BB player than Shaq. Dude could shoot the lights out in the gym.

Blake Dean - Hitting machine. I think Coach PM said Dean could hit with a rolled up newspaper.

Xavier Carter - He wasn't great in football but he was a stud in T&F. You know you're special when you tie a Jesse Owens record.

Favorite Tiger is Chad Lavalais(he's my cousin)

I believe you are very young and that will cover a lot of sins, BUT, to leave out the 2 most vocal LSU Alumni is a bigger sin than any that cannot be over looked.

Pistol Pete Maravich and David Toms

1- The Pistol has a record that will never be broken because if it ever gets broken they will have to fix College Basketball. 44.2

2- David Toms - Is on TV talking LSU with all his breath from the Golf courses all across this country and that cannot be over looked.

3- Shaq O'Neal - He does a lot for LSU also with him being so popular with all the advertisers and his helping this state whenever he can.

4- Billy Cannon - There is no one who does not know about his Halloween jaunt of 89 yards against Ole Miss.

5a- Bob Petit - If not for all the scoring and fancy ball handling that Pete had he would be the best basketball [player of all time. All you need do is go to the record books and you will still see his name all over it.

5b- Kevin Faulk - Because of his recruitment he got LSU back on the winning ways and allowed LSU to gain the state recruitment to become what it is today and without LSU would have never been able to win those 2 NC"s.

Son that is why I think you are very young and do not understand why who you pick is valuable to their University. Valuable in what he does for the University and his vocale output for the University. Even though you are young you can still look up on your computer and see who is or is not valuable to LSU as a whole.

One thing we are learning is how much LSU means to all of us as fans, because it truly takes fans to be able to name all the names that are being named. There is all the baseball players that is still active also all the football players across the NFL and the basketball players men and women and also the track stars with all their NC's the most of any sport at LSU makes a large difference also. LSU is rich with sport's history and will continue to be in the years to come.
