Maybe JJ should be blaming TT on his subpar stats. His subpar QB play maybe bc TT doesn't do his job.

I know they don't I was just responding to the idiot who said Tolliver is pretty much exactly the same as Lafell and that Lafell wasn't a better college player

i understand. however, posting stats doesn't make a good argument.

G)0% Miles, 0% Toliver, 100% therocketscientist for posing such a stupid question.

How do you know where TT would have been drafted if there was no combine? Maybe he goes 2-3rd round based on what scouts saw on the field.

Toliver didn't help himself by breaking his hand in a fight and going through his last spring practice (with a new wr coach) with a giant cast on his hand.

That said, I think Toliver just has bad hands. Nobodies fault. The touch to catch is as God given as the touch to throw or kick accurately. It can certainly be improved, but it's still a natural talent.

Here is the one that means the most since we are talking about non-productivity at Qb and both players playing in a system where the PT was nearly the same.
NOW YOU ARE AN IDIOT! Look at when they played with equal talent. BF was so great that he was <100 yards better and DROPPED probably still about 10 balls more in 2009. He had horrible dropsies through his senior year - less in 2009 than the previous 4, but a drop f a TD that cost us in 2006 was huge from what I recall.
You are only as good as your teammates. BF had WAY better back-ups than TT, unless you are saying the coaching staff isn't developing its players.

2009 - TT 53 catches 733 yard vs. BF 57 catches 792 yards don't understand your point about jock strap carrying?
You add dickson, D Peterson, RR and others (C Mitch) as good back-ups and the situation is the same as the previous year.
Lafell had a HUGE case of dropsies through his senior year - albeit much less his senior year.

Lafell and TT aren't even in the same universe when it comes to college careers. TT was only good when he was the backup to LaFell.

TT didn't have great work outs. He didn't put up great numbers. The only thing exceptional about him is his size and he never really reached what we thought was his potential for one reason or another.

you made my point.
Lafell was horrible with dropping balls for 3 years - cost us at a shot at the NC in 2006 against UF in the swamp.

which just furthers the point that looking at college production isn't a big factor for NFL teams in their evaluation of receivers.

Spare me. So many things went wrong in that game. We were the better team but it just wasn't our day.

Hard to pin it all on LaFell when you had a TD called back on a phantom holding call and when Jemarcus fumbled on the goal line.

his performance at the combine.

that's it. it has nothing to do with his career at lsu.

you can take that to the bank. that's why they have the combine.

Dear god.

So Tolliver was pretty much a consensus top 20-25 WR prospect.

We'll use NFL Draft Scouts list where he is 19 overall.
Of the top 25, Toliver is the 16th fastest WR in the group. Very close to higher top 10 times though.
But when you take into consideration he was the TALLEST of all of them and 5th heaviest, it makes that time look a lot better.

Don't give this combine crap. Plenty of guys who got drafted had a worse combine/measurables.

How do you explain it the first 4+ years as a pro AND he was SHUT out against both Bailey and revis last season when the Chiefs REALLY needed him? I work in KC and hear it all the time.
They HATE LSU player here - except L Coleman right now.

How so, You said that Bowe was better after Lasik? that was my reply kid.
I know draft status has nothing to do with one another. I simply replied to this little BITCH:

When not one NFL club is willing to take a shot at you in the whole freaking draft, there is something going on that has nothing to do with who throws the ball to you, who calls the plays, or who is is on your coaching staff.

It has to do with the player no matter the blame game we like to play.

Hopefully he gets picked up and gets another shot at making the NFL.

I guess you missed his catch vs florida that won the game or his 4th and 13 catch vs tenn that prevented the Tigers from losing while YOUR Heisman Candidate JJ was on the sideline. TT is very talented but you need a Decent QB to look good as a receiver. And spare me JJs record as a starter. Championship Defense has carried the Tigers the past few years.

Don't think this has nothing to do with LSU receivers:
He certainly doesn't have to be too productive to better than 90% of the LSU recivers in the league right now.
Let's see, where are they now:
B Lafell - 400 yards last season, Buster Davis - Is he still playing?
Josh Reed - did he ever do anything in the league worth mentioning? CAREER 115 games 311 caught 3575 yards. He is out.
Doucet CAREER 26 games 57 catches 595 yards. (you think fitzgerald is happy?)
Buster davis Career 26 51 catches 558 yards WITH PHILLIP RIVERS AT QB
D Bowe - 59 275 3768 After 2009/2010 he was on rumors for trade and being cut. Until this season - and even this season in several games he was non-existent.
