Again you’re making shite up. I’ve not once in this thread criticized JJ, only the narratives that you people spin but again you derail twist and deflect as an automatic reaction to anything you dislike.

If you can’t tell the gigantic difference between football and baseball when it comes to winning national championships, well…I guess you’ve just proven my previous assertion that you’re a dumbass. That’s why what Skip did was so unbelievable—significantly harder than what Saban’s done, which is obviously also pretty unbelievable. They win 90% of their games before they’re even played at this point. Baseball is a completely different beast.

i said even a guy that is universally considered to be among the top 2 coaches in the entire history of his sport, and consistently also has the most talented roster in the entire country doesn’t always win.
but for some reason, you can’t seam to grasp that fact. and when people point it out, you say that “coach is blameless no matter the outcome”.

Oh course you can have it as an expectation. That can change, people can get hurt, you can have a tough draw and lose a close series etc.. But to say that expecting a “great coach” to win a title with a stacked deck is unreasonable is simply lowering the bar to spare him criticism. It’s a standard you wouldn’t apply to anyone else.

I don’t think it is. There have been lesser programs who’ve won multiple titles since our last and isn’t the goal to get back to the top of college baseball? I don’t mean 5 titles in 10 years but what’s wrong with 2, unless you’re just settling for the status quo of the last 15 years.
