thanks for saying that, but im not here trying to take up for him. if i thought he quit i would have been all over him.

i was just wondering was everyone saying this before or did they just start when Mcshay said it. also mcshay had something totally different to say when he was talking to his agent about that game.

all in all if that is the only negatvie thing he has to say about him, no complaints from me

I think sometimes people confuse "quit" with "frustrated".
Everyone on offense was frustrated that game. When you get frustrated like that you tend to play different.

I had never heard it before, and nothing I saw on Jan. 9th made me believe it to be so.

Tough call out for RR. Hope it doesn't impact his draft standing with teams looking for at WR.

When you consider the source, I highly doubt it will. Not many people put stock in what McShay has to say.

I didn't see him quit, but admittedly the horror along the line and at QB so captured my attention in the second half that I stopped watching downfield.
In the first half I saw RR wide open more than once and he clearly was working.
To suggest any WR was not working or quit in this game, with this QB play, is like critiquing the Titantic's orchestra for their performance after the Iceberg was hit.
It's just a cheap shot.
Nothing more or less...

If McShay saw it than teams scouts probably see it too. But even with his concerns on that he's still talking about Randle when discussing the 26 pick so he obviously doesn't view it as too big of a factor in his stock.

Dmitch, any truth to the post that state RR told former bastrop coach that the offense would never change because LM won't listen to asst. coaches. not dumping on RR, just wondering if i shouldn't get my hopes up to much for upcoming season on offense changes etc.

any thoughts.

I think maybe getting a bump in draft status because of what he WAS able to do in LSU's offense. If he put up 1500 yds in OU's offense people would say so has everyone else. People should stop complaining and griping for him and realize he will be a first or second round pick. How much higher would or could he have been. Lets be real what games were even close last year besides BAMA and MSU. LSU fans should just say next and hope the QB play is better.

Really, I had no clue. Since nobody knows presnap where the football might be thrown or what may happen, and when there is a run called every player has a responsibility, in essence every down should be played like you are involved. Your ignorance is appalling.

@ Bama and thus not being in a position to catch the ball, only getting fingertips on it. Had he not quit (which he did because it looked like JJ was going to get sacked) he would have been in an easy clear position to catch a TD.

please show us a link to the play

I think he's talking about the 1st Bama game. If that's the case he's right. I wouldn't say Randle quit on the route but he definitely slowed up some and it caused him to be half a second late and have the ball go off his fingertips.

Thank You. I do my best.

Look guy, I can't help that you fail to recognize context in a written statement. I made a comment that clearly related to QB progession in stating what I thought of RRs play in the game. You jumped on it with a comment based in generality of the game like I had made some ludicrous proclamantion that made no sense. I respond with a snide remark of my own and in turn and you still come back with a philosophical rant about every player and every play when from the beginning the whole thread is about one player in one game at one position. I understand your desire to find someone you can attack for what you think is ignorance, it's the way of the rant, but you're barking up the wrong tree. Have a great day.

FWIW, I'm not reading back over this whole thread but RR was running wide the frick open several times and Chestferson couldn't seem to find him.

on that play one of his own teammates ran into him as he was making his cut, causing him to be knocked off his route.

the ball was still thrown and he adjusted trying to make the catch. trust me i was all over him when he came out after game for that play until i saw the replay.
funny thing is he never made an excuse or said landry ran into him.
