12 years of success track record... Got wanted him fired because he had lost to Ole Miss and Arkansas in consecutive years and Alabama 5 straight.....
Won 9 games last year (could have been 10 without a cancellation) which is what people are saying would be a success for O.
But hey he ate grass, did coach speak, and is from the north so fire him....
LSU needs a coach from the south... One who loves Louisiana. People who disagree are idiots since that is mentality of most people here.
WHAT YOU DONT AGREE WITH WHAT I TYPED, YOUR AN IDIOT. (Yes I'm aware of you're, there is a point to that)

Get the hell off of this train and don't expect the door to re-open. Apparently you all are too stupid to realize that the HC job requires a proactive staff which is something that has been missing starting with Miles. "O" is smart enough to let the coaches develop and coach. This is what any successful CEO does. He will get what is required.

I have no problems with any LSU fan voicing his unhappiness with the process and result. It's all a matter of a difference of opinion, as neither side is the right or wrong side. What bothers me is the out right hate being tossed around so casually, much like what is on the Poli board. There was a thread of over 30 posters who took off on the Cajuns, their culture, their work ethic, their education. Substitute the N word & the hate was just a crude & just as stupid. Hate is so easy as all it takes is words. Support is a lot harder. I support LSU & will continue to do so.

Those who say they are done with LSU are immature and insecure. It's one thing to become disinterested because of uninspired play/coaching and modest results, such as the end of the Miles era. However, it's another thing to abandon your team, program, alma mater, etc.
People who don't support the decision are short sighted. There was no one below Jimbo or Herman who was really worthy of high dollar interest. Holgerson, Gundy, Fedora are not elite. Fuentes may be great one day but he is not now. MacIntyre may have been a possibility but Fleck is a risk in terms of fit and stepping up in class.

My favorite part of this is that a lot of posters with the OP's mentality are ones the openly petitioned for Miles to be fired.
So support O because he is our coach but ok to not support Miles because they didn't want him.
Are you truly saying you don't see a difference in approach between Orgeron and Miles? Particularly on offense when we have the lead? If so then you are one clueless ignoramus.
Miles absolutely and positively HAD to go. And no way in hell would I rather have him back over O.

I hate this hire but will still pull for and support the Tigers. As far as Alleva goes, any remote respect that he might have retained is gone. After Duke, he never should have been hired here. He is a disgrace to LSU and everything LSU stands for and proves it with everything he does. I'm also going to pull hard for JJ and the basketball team. It's not that I like JJ but because I don't want Alleva to frick something else up more than it already is. The team deserves better.

Damn dude. Have actually been wondering what side you would fall on. Thanks for chiming in.
Would love to chat again sometime soon. Been too long.
ETA: We can leave politics out of it.

He wasn't my first choice but he may surprise some folks.
I am still giddy that we fired Elmer Fudd. It was long overdue and you know I've felt that way for a long, long time.I've said it before but Miles was not only sucking the joy out of LSU football, he was sucking the life out of the program. I'm shocked people couldn't see that, particularly the sunshine pumpers on this forum.
O can recruit and I like that he said, it's Louisiana kids first. Miles went out of state too often and ignored kids. I'll take a 3 star Louisiana kid over kids from elsewhere.
O can motivate and he did turnaround the team. UF was a classic case of the ball bouncing the wrong way. LSU was the better team.

No doubt. And yeah, you've been pounding that drum for years now and you were correct. I had no enthusiasm whatsoever entering this season. Was pumped up on gameday for Wisky since it was the first game and a big one, but wasn't even angry when we lost. More just resigned to it all. And going into the Auburn game I was the LEAST excited for an Auburn game that I think I have ever been. Just watched the whole game with very little emotion. He had absolutely sucked the joy out of being a Tiger fan. Was ecstatic the next day when the axe finally fell.

Absolutely and without question. Even gator fans know that if they are being honest with themselves. Sure was a bitter pill to swallow living here though as you well know.

Go ahead and pound sand motherfrickers.
I was hoping for Jimbo or Herman myself. And I was NOT happy with the rush to name O when they didn't work out.
But with that said, if you say that you are done with LSU over this hire and will no longer cheer for the Tigers, then don't let the door hit you in the fricking arse!!!
Seriously!!!
frick each and every one of you!!! LSU will be better off without you.
Gee. Haven't seen THIS thread started yet. Points for originality.
Oh wait...
