what about kines?
i think he's a "hustle" guy and while his D is boring, it's very fundamentally sound

pay attention Slo - that's why KW isnt getting the rock - HE FUMBLES ALL THE TIME
KW and Charles Scott have never fumbled (the Auburn fumble was given to Hatch officially). Trindon fumbled on a reverse from the slot in the SECCG. Hester fumbled against Arky last year, but LSU recovered. Besides that....nothing from a TB since Arky 06.
Keiland had one in the spring game, but never in a game.

What about Bob Davie? Wrecking Ball was pretty good under his watch.
Just throwing shite against the wall to see if it sticks. I want Tenuta, Bumpus, or Van Gorder.

Time to start completely over on the defensive side of the ball. I wouldn't keep any of them. Not one area - DL, LBs, or DBs improved throughout the season.
Really, that's what most are advocating, hire a new DC, a world class one. Give that guy input on the rest of the defensive staff, though realistically, if Peveto is retained, he'll either have to slide back to ST, or coach linebackers (maybe get an Assistant HC tag, or something). There's no other place for him, if Miles is going to be loyal to him, to the detriment of the team (which I do NOT believe, however.)
I had to fire a great guy, once. He was a detriment to the mission. Compared to the guy he replaced (who was our friend, and we all liked, but never showed up on time, missed a lot of work, etc.) he was super in attitude, was always on time, prepared, etc. He was an interpreter and it was a dialect issue. None of the people we talked to could understand him. His family tree also didn't extend to the area and the people we talked to didn't trust him because of that. Sad, really, but the mission always has to come first. We will see if Miles has this mindset.
It is my position that the entire defensive staff must go, with the one caveat that I can stomach retaining Mallory as DB coach only, with no playcalling responsibilities. (Just as I would probably take, don't laugh, Lou Tepper to just coach linebackers - Patton wrote of the phenomenon - a guy is a decent company commander, great battalion commander, and a disaster as a regimental commander. It's not a character flaw, some people just find their sweet spots at different levels.)
