You guys do understand the kids could have just not taken the money.

Not saying OBJ wasn't an idiot for doing it.

No ones blaming him for shite. Just a bunch of Clemson pansies who need to learn how to party and ESPN needing to run with any story they can. This will go nowhere.

Are you seriously blaming the players?

He is handing out wads of cash to players on the biggest stage in college football on national television. It was just not smart on his part.

I'm sure the players really thought it was just a big joke.

Oh, they were stupid too.

Seemed to quickly forget one team, one heartbeat.

OBJ is the professional. He gets most of the blame. The student athletes was put on the spot and acted like you would expect kids to act caught in the moment. Be better.

A drunk LSU alum you probably look up to excitedly slaps a few 100s in your hand minutes after while winning the natty. And you expect 19 year old kids (with massive amount of adrenaline flowing) to have the thought process to stop him?

Take the money, give it back to someone is the best case scenario.

What if you knew taking said money might cost you your job? Or even just your end of year bonus?

OMG!!! Who was the adult in the situation?

A year ago the school had to answer questions almost every day about why the men's basketball coach was on tape saying "we made a strong arse offer" and now OBJ does this?

You really want to pass the buck to the kids? You are truly dumber than dirt.

Please quit being an apologist for this guy. His actions were classless. I guess he is above that though, because he is a rich boy from a privileged background.

*College athletes get in trouble for drugs/fighting/sexual assault

*Fans- "Well that is what they get. They should know better. Follow the rules and you will be good."

*College athletes get in trouble for accepting cash on live television in a game being watched by 20 Million+

*Fans- "Well they are just kids. They didn't know better. Their adrenaline must have been high. Poor babies. They were put in a tough situation."

OBJ had no need to do such dumbassity. Why must people flaunt? And he knows the rules of such actions.

Maybe but he did pledge to give LSU 500k, probably more than most on this board. He's been an advocate and should be given a little bit of slack.
