To-do List for Coach Orgeron (Ponamsky Click Here)

1. Fire Grimes and hire a new Oline coach who can recruit, retain, and develop players. It would be great if this coach fit into the scheme Canada wants to run.
2. Sign 7 offensive linemen this class. 2-3 juco kids and 4-5 freshman what can be developed into SEC caliber players.
3. Make a decision on Tommy Moffitt. He is knowledgeable concerning his craft but there is some disconnect here regarding implementation. Are the players not doing what he says? Is it an accountability thing? It is safe to say our S&C program has been passed up by other programs.
4. Sign 4 defensive linemen to add depth
5. Try and do that thing you did for Syracuse where the penalties were lessened. Make note to try for this every week.
6. Move Cush to Center and Clapp to RG.
7. Run a few of the plays ensminger called last year where Guice set the LSU single game record for yards.
8. Limit the routes that take a long time to develop. Don't get rid of them completely but factor in the offensive line limitations when calling pass plays. It is ok for you to tell Matt this. You're the head coach, O.
9. Can you play with the offensive intensity shown on the last scoring drive the whole game?
10. Don't play guice against non-SEC competition in the regular season if he is hurt.

How do you know this? Cite specific examples so that you don't look like you are talking out of your arse.

This is incredibly difficult to do convincing multiple o lineman to come join a team where there will be a ton of competition for their job.

again same situation where playing time will be an issue.

Your anger suggests that you are fine with our abilities in the trenches. The obvious answer is bama the last few years. If you can't see that Mississippi State had their way with us on the lines, maybe go to the eye doc?
It is a combination of recruiting and developing.

I imagine the Little Prince frantically taking notes for his mid-Monday afternoon binder presentation with CEO.

I've yet to see him say "YEH YEH YEHHHHH!" on a video scoreboard inciting thousands of toothless hillbillies to do the same, so I assume we have somehow fell behind.

I would think that in this rcruiting class we need to ignore star rating but rather find the players that can most quickly be SEC game ready even if these guys may have short long term ceiling.

So getting beaten in the trenches by MSU absolutely, positively means that our strength and conditioning all of a sudden sucks? There is no way that it could be because our O-line guys that are playing just aren't as talented as the other team's D-Line? And of course there is no way it could be that we are thin on both lines and guys get tired more easily.

If someone out there exists, O needs to spend some of that $3.5MM to bring someone into the shadow staff to help out with the Oline. This assumes that O can't or will not fire Grimes mid-season and that Alleva will not appropriate the funds.
Grimes is a fricking disaster. If O really loves LSU and this job, he'll find the right person and a way to make this happen.

It's safe to say Key was away from the program for 3 months and now he's slow and fat.
