A&M and KY should have been wins. I’d say 3-2

If he’d have just used Sutton the way he was used today we’d have 2 more wins. Injuries, while unfortunate, are not the reason he’s a perennial basement dweller.

Well first off, if you watch the “games we should’ve won”, there’s a few things..

1. Sutton was playing injured. Pretty obvious. He had him sitting in corners avoiding contact as much as possible. An injured Sutton still gives you more than Tamba on both ends. If you sit him, who gets the minutes with Tamba at that position? You would have to go super small with King(who’s been playing a lot of backup PG), or go extra big with Miller(whose had to play significantly more due to Nwoko foul trouble).

2. The two wins you speak of, both teams ran a man to man defense. The position you want him to be in isn’t optimal with a man to man look. You can’t run high low sets in man, most casual fans know this.

We all know that MM hasn’t lived up to our expectations, but the one time you try to talk actual basketball, you swing and miss. Can’t say I’m shocked.

An expected reply, with no substance.

What should he have done against the man to man to get the same kinds of looks as he did last night? Can you talk basketball, or are you just going to start with the circle jerk like you normally do?

know it’s fools gold but I want LSU basketball to be a tournament team year in year out so bad!
There's no reason it shouldn't be.

Tim Golden was hired at Florida just about one week before MM was hired at LSU and they won a Natty in Year 3!

Basketball can can be renovated quickly.
Get the right HC in here and it can happen in one season.

Every team we’ve faced has mostly played man and claiming high post sets can’t work vs man to man just shows how ignorant this guy is.

The program has been bad each year under McMahon. Here we are in year 4, and now the excuse is injures? I don’t buy it.

I’m not justifying why we lost, I’m just telling you what happened and giving you a different perspective. You can’t see anything other than what you want to see. Which is kind of my point. Also proves my point of you dodging my follow up question and deflecting to talking about how I’m making excuses. No excuses for the loss at all, just showing you what was on tape. Need me to show you and teach you something? If not, tell me what we should’ve done differently.

I'm only trying to be positive.

Most of these posters only know the term streetball. Somehow CoachMc is he's nice with Xs and Os. Never with any thought or evidence.

No you’re saying that even though I was right, really I’m wrong because of qualifiers that aren’t actually real. Sutton hasn’t been injured and every team we’ve played has almost exclusively played man to man on defense.

I know I'm grouping people, but I want to win. And when we win, I end up being their enemy?

So I end up being the enemy regardless. What's that called?

I did not watch any men's basketball games the last three years, but I'm enjoying watching them this season. They are really missing the point guard.

I said high-low sets, not high post. Classic example of you manipulating to fit your argument. High post set is fine, although also not optimal with Nowko on the floor in the short corner. Allows for backside rotation or defender parking in the pant under the goal with no defensive 3 seconds. Sutton is best in DHO, which actually fits the scheme we run because he can handle it well and is pretty quick off the dribble, so you can’t really switch on him. Again, why would you use him this way if he’s clearly hurt and has marks on his shoulder from therapy and a brace?

It’s because you have different priorities. Like you said you just want to win, the people who position themselves as opposed to you only want Mcmahon praised or absolved. The winning is inconsequential to them.

No buddy, you don’t get to misrepresent what I said then claim I’m manipulating things by correcting you. And there are different sets, using one that I didn’t to explain yourself is moot. Sutton isn’t hurt, you continue with that fairy tale and your description of his skill set is incorrect which is why you don’t understand what I’m saying even though it was shown to you yesterday.
